The motel is quite nice, located right in town near cafes and restaurants. We had top floor spa room, bed was comfy, room very clean. They include tea coffee biscuits and mini bar with cheap drinks. There was a toaster as well. Bit tired in bathroom with fixtures that could be replaced but all in all a very pleasant stay. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast is cheap and delicious. The restaurant for dinner was good food. We found the pub and bowling club had cheap options as well. The only issue is there is no lift, only stairs, and if you have issues with mobility then ask for ground floor room.

Hotel's Favourite
We stayed at the Park Ridge based on other positive reviews and we were not disappointed. Excellent location near the town centre if you want to eat out or use other amenities and accessible to beach albeit that you must traverse the hill. The retreat itself was nice, comfortable and very clean room with all the essentials and excellent and friendly service! They offer breakfast and dinner, we missed the breakfasts but had dinner one night which was excellent. So in summary, a good choice hotel if you are looking for a place well located, is clean and comfortable and that comes with friendly service!

Our second visit and excellent.Check in was so warm and professional, the young lady could not have been nicer. Our room was at the rear with a lovely panorama, large, clean and quiet.Location is so perfect as the village is virtually metres away.Wi Fi is difficult to access but that is stated in the room book. All staff are super friendly, room rates are fair and in the words of Arnold Schwarzenegger..I’ll be back.

Stayed here for the second time in 2 yeas on a golf trip (and appreciate the flexibility as this time we had to change dates due to the weather). Friendly welcome, spacious well appointed rooms, easy parking and a good location close to the centre of town. Prices in some accommodations in regional NSW have become excessive in the covid era, but this is good value and anticipate returning every time we plan a trip in this beautiful part of the south coast.

I loved this stay. Managers are super friendly, accommodation was clean. The pine ridge retreat felt like a tropical retreat. Location terrific. Our dinner in the restaurant was the best we had all weekend. Thank you. Planning our next trip back already.

Very pleased with the standard of accommodation. Stayed in a deluxe room for 2 nights...good sized room with small balcony. Nice to have the door open for fresh air. Comfortable bed and pillows..small table with 2 chairs. Plenty of hanging space in the wardrobe plus iron and ironing board. Chromecast available from reception for smart tv viewing. Such a fantastic location ... Easy walk to cafes and shops.

Spent 2 nights at this motel and couldn't fault it. The reception staff were friendly and the room very clean and fresh. A bonus was the verandah with a view over the the hills and ocean. We had breakfast delivered to our room, it arrived at the specified time and was plentiful. Parking was free and easy to access and checkout a breeze. A great place to base yourself whilst in the Illawarra.

A real gem which I’ve recommended to friends already! Very efficient service and nicely decorated common areas and rooms. We had rm 23 with some good sea view. Restaurant meals were awesome too! Thanks Shane for a lovely experience at Park Ridge!

Stayed at this hotel after a long day on the road, decided on room service as we were tired after traveling all day I ordered a lamb dish which turned out to be inedible due to the toughness of the meat, think soul of a hiking boot tough. Was a pricey dish so not thrilled but sometimes these things happen During our check out I thought it would be a good idea to let reception know of my meal experience. I was completely brushed off by the person at the counter No apology just a “Well it was the most popular dish last night”! I guess that mean it was my problem then We left a review of our experience on the site we had booked our stay through and interestingly we were then contacted by the hotel and given an apology and a whole lot of untruths, That I was apologised to at the time of check out and it was explained to me that the food was catered by a company independent of the hotel and my issue with the food had been passed on etc etc Lies people Good customer service is not that hard, being genuinely heard and acknowledged with an apology thrown in for good measure at the time would have gone a long way!!!
