Having low expectations for hotels we were completely blown away with the facilities, location and friendly staff. Food was incredible. We enjoyed an all you can eat pizza night and watched them cook it on their outside pizza ovens. Got to meet some really lovely people and we were really sad to leave! We will definitely return! We especially enjoyed...

When visiting the Crystal Castle & Shambala Gardens each year I always book ahead to stay at the Byron Beach Resort, Byron Bay's original backpackers. The team are friendly and always helpful making sure I get a bed in the Women Only Bunkroom. With an on-suite and lockers I always feel safe. The kitchen is big and well equipped and...

We stayed 4 nights in a 6 bed dorm. This hostel is very clean! We shared a bathroom with another 6 bed dorm and it was always clean and really modern. Only thing that we missed in the room was a shelf in the room, because you just have a small table for 6 persons and no chair.. The safe...

Byron Beach Resort is hands down the best hostel in Byron Bay. The rooms are clean, and the bathrooms are large and very clean. There is a huge communal kitchen in the middle of the resort with loads of space for dry as well as refrigerated food, tons of stove tops and counter space to prepare food. The hostel is...

Sssshhhhhh! Don't tell anyone. This place is awesome. Reasonably priced especially if you are sharing and is a few steps from the beautiful Belongil Beach. shuttle into town or a short walk along the beach. free bikes. communal kitchen or the mighty Treehouse cafe/restaurant next door for yummy food or a delicious cocktail! A great vibe for all ages with...

Friendly staff, close to the beach and not a far hike into town. Probably worth it if you are choosing it as a "back-packer" hostel... But with the "resort name" attached to a hotel price tag for a double private room, I would have hoped for a little more. Everything you touch seemed to have a price tag attached to...

I stayed at the hostel for a few nights. It is located right at the beach. It offers great value for money. Lovely clean rooms and hammocks outside. A lovely bar/restaurant next door. Very comfortable stay in a great town.

It is a good standard hostel for backpackers. Everyone at the desk very friendly and Jake & Sam always keen to make you feel welcome. For a hostel, this is good and felt safe and clean. Not in the heart of Byron bay, but lots of shuttle buses, public buses or 20 min walk to the centre along the beach....

This is in a great location and definitely has a great feel to it. I agree with most of the positives that others have listed. However there is one thing that completely puts me off staying in a room/hotel/resort - mould. Mould is an absolute killer to be around and the room we were given stunk of mould. It was...
