We wanted a short break in early July, and looked through a Ramsey Lodge guide we had to hand to find a good quality B&B in west Cornwall. Luckily there was availability for us even though this was a last minute planned trip. Juliet who took the phone call was very helpful with suggestions of places to eat and gardens...

I found the three nights spent there (prebooked) most unsatisfactory. The bathrobes were grubby. There was no lock on the bathroom door which was on a busy landing. The owners seemed too busy with their main jobs to attend to the b&b side properly. I did not enjoy our stay and would not recommend it to others

I love the countryside around the beautiful Helford Estuary and there can be no better place to stay than Tremayne House. We enjoyed the lovely garden and a superb pool, sunken trampoline and walks through National Trust woods down to Tremayne Quay. From the moment we arrived, we knew we had made a good choice. The House is tucked away down a VERY quiet country lane; it is approached through a set of giant stone pillars which lead through to a circular gravel driveway. The Owner Anthony answered the door and quickly showed us to our delightful room overlooking the front lawn....
