I booked in here as a stop over with work and I have to be honest the Free of charge parking was a really good start. The reception/bar area was really nice and the checking in staff were really helpful and polite. I was given directions to my room, which were spot on and althoufgh the walls in on the...

What a lovely little independent hotel! Very kind and welcoming staff. Great location and really enjoyed my stay, although it was for work! Makes such a difference to have a comfortable stay whilst working. Would love to come back but for stay for pleasure.

Asked for the cheese omelette with salad instead of fries. The most pathetic salad ever. Wilting iceberg, one cherry tomato and little else. £8.00. Really terrible. It was a poor garnish.Hardly a salad. Shame as the other meals looked fine.

We booked online for one night. Once we worked out where to park (across the foam from side entrance to hotel in secure, open car park) we were pleasantly surprised by the room. Simple but funky decor; cute faux chandelier, free standing robe (please, 2 hangers!?!?!) and streamlined bathroom with a huge shower. Free WiFi. Room service or restaurant downstairs....

I stayed here for 4 nights and it was very enjoyable. It is walking distance from the national rail services train station, but there isn't much else to do nearby. We ate dinner in the restaurant or pub in the hotel every night because there isn't really any other food particularly close. However, the food there was really good so...

Visited 2 evenings in a row. Ate in the restaurant which is beautifully decorated, the service was superb and the food equally so. The trio of grilled fish was perfectly cooked and the lamb chops tender and tasty with beautifully cooked vegetables. The sharing pudding was a Baked Alaska which nearly defeated us!

We are in the restaurant twice whilst on holiday in St. Austell and the food was first class. Attentive waiting staff and delicious fresh food. I suffer from dissociation and have what looks like fits. That staff where extremely accommodating whilst discrete and helpful assuring me I didn't need to worry. The fresh fish was Devine! And we didn't have...

Lovely atmospheric building, well appointed and pleasant resturant. Excellent, knowledgable and attentive staff. Wide variety of food on the menu to choose from, tasteful and well cooked at reasonable cost. Parking can be a problem.

We went to the restaurant for a romantic meal. Excellent services all round. Richard was the perfect host. The food was delicious. Very reasonable prices. I would recommend a visit. We will come again.
