Checked in on Monday for two nights by very friendly staff. The room was nice with good sized ensuite, comfortable bed, TV & tea making equipment. It's a very old building but well maintained and decorated. We ate there for dinner on both nights and the food was fantastic. A trip to the St Austell brewery is highly recommended!

We felt this place had gone downhill after our last couple of visits here, but I am pleased to say it is on the up again. My husband had the short rib of beef and I had chilli beef with noodles. Both meals were well presented and tasty. The portions were also a good size and the food was hot....

This is an old hotel in the centre of town, not near the beach, the room was small but clean and comfortable. The TV is really not up to modern standards. There is a friendly and comfortable bar lounge and a restaurant and breakfast room. The food is simple but well prepared with fresh ingredients. Very friendly and helpful staff

Visited this pub with rooms twice now. The rooms are excellent, well appointed and in good decorative order. It's in the middle of town so some noise until 11ish but nothing major. I ate a super meal of local mussels. Breakfasts are really lovely. Only caution, and it's undoubtedly a one off and would appeal to others, I'm working tomorrow...

Supposed to be a romantic weekend break to celebrate our engagement but my fiancée ended up being ill. Phoned before I booked and was told they could cater for a vegan. Richard was amazing in the restaurant and came up with an option, chef supplied cheesy bread though but we assumed it was a mistake seen as the rest of...

Booked in by my employer for one night, very friendly staff, lovely clean room (9), lovely atmosphere in the bar and a wide bar menu. Good breakfast served from 0730. The hotel has its own private car park nearby which was included in the price.

Booked through a very good groupon deal which included breakfast both days and a 2 course meal on one of the evenings. Very easy to find and a massive bonus of having free parking so close to hotel. Arrived to check in which all went smoothly. Decided to get into the room and then walk around St Austell town. Recommendation...

We have just returned from a 2 night stay at the White Hart in St Austell. The accommodation was very comfortable. The bed in particular was lovely, not too hard as is often the case in hotels. We were particularly impressed with the service provided in the restaurant by Richard. His very obviously high level of training and attention to...

Had a standard room booked that wasn't spectacular but this was made up from the friendliness of the staff and the high standard of the food. The mussels and the steak were amazing. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
