Difficult to know where to start but not what the website had advertised, the shower block was very basic and they were fitting a new floor as we arrived but for a camp site of this size it wasn't adequate. With excitement the children ran off to look for the treehouse which was half built and toolbox left open for...

I booked the vintage caravan Daisy (I think it was called) it sounded just want I needed for a little get away - the thought of little chics roaming free and the two little goats to go and see. The owner suggested my daughter and her friend could use the rowing boat for the lake but after a close examination...

2 of us stayed in Rosie beside a small lake. Utterly delightful. The caravan's off grid solar power electricity is just enough to run the pumps and some interior lights and we took delight in the total absence of giffgaff coverage. But perhaos the toilet block could do with an unpgrade.

We came here over the last August Bank Holiday - over 5 hours driving from London (with a few stops on the way). i really enjoyed the place, nice and quiet, but not too far from anything you need - jump in the car and there's a Tesco's and an Asda down the road. The ponds are nice, running water,...

This place sounds idyllic from its website. There is no denying the site is beautiful and people who were camping with their very well equipped own paraphernalia looked to be having a wonderful time. We came from overseas so didn't have any camping gear, but the site looked so appealing, I made the mistake of being carried away by the...

Very enjoyable holiday in a tent. Quiet and nice place near the pond, ideal for families. In the evening campfire with a tent. Not far to interesting destinations in the area. toilets and shower standard, cleaned daily, wifi very weak but it's good :)

The site is fine, the facilities could be given a shake (having stayed at other places, there are way better ones out there). The owners are fine too, more on the indifferent side than going out of their way to make your stay wonderful.

We enjoyed the rustic camping and a rural site with real fires. However we have used similar sites, without sterile pitches and benefitting from a remote feel, that manage to have modern facilities. There are only two toilets and one shower per gender for a 50 pitch site. The ladies toilet smelt of stale urine and wasn't of acceptable cleanliness....

Thank you for your review and I'm glad you enjoyed our rural campsite. I'm sorry you felt our facilities were not acceptable. We do describe our site as a 'simple and natural' site with 'real, back-to-nature style camping' and our facilities as 'simple toilet and shower facilities' on our website. The wooden toilet and shower block is basic but in...

Nice setting but facilities poor two toilets and one shower for women and two toilets and one shower for men. More like an old shed the floor is soft underfoot in the ladies. We had eight days of rain so pretty miserable. On our last day the sun came out and a lot of people turned up with their tents...

Wonderful setting. Love being able to have a bonfire. Close to lots of local attractions. Lesley and Tony are very friendly and helpful. Toilet block is ugh but we knew that from last year. It did not stop us from returning. Very pleased to see they are building a new toilet block. Hewas Inn just. Five minute walk away does...
