We arrived late into the hotel, check-in was swift, the lady in reception was very attentive and welcoming. Daniel showed us to our room, was very polite and professional. I believe that he will go far in the hospitality industry. Working in this industry myself, makes me appreciate the service he provided.

Reception staff knowledgeable and helpful - check in speedy and straight forward. The room on the second floor was clean and tidy but let down by the broken glass top on the desk. Waiting staff appeared ill prepared to deal with large numbers of clients which added to confusion of where people were seated or what they had ordered. When...

Hotel is set in a fantastic location and our room was lovely and had two great nights sleep, breakfast was good both times but on second night we had a evening meal and they needed more staff!! No check back on food my wife's steak was 70% fat so had to talk to reception manager who after a few minutes of...

Room was fine though the balcony was almost useless given that the air conditioning units to the kitchens make so much noise. Restaurant food was great though the tables are very close to one another - you can hear your neighbour better than your partner as the tables are long and narrow, this could be a little better with more...

We visited with friends to celebrate a special wedding anniversary. On arrival, the receptionist was friendly, efficient and professional and our room (120) was superb. It was large, modern, light and airy, with a massive comfortable bed and a balcony overlooking the grounds. There was a slight snag in that, within minutes, our electric lights began flickering rather alarmingly but...

Hotel reception was a bit shambolic but the staff were so lovely and friendly that it didnt matter. Room was lovely and view was great, but some of the corridors looked as if they could do with a freshen up. I had booked spa treatments in advance and the spa was nice and my therapist was very friendly. Having to...

We stayed in a self catering 2 bed lodge - they have everything you need there (hairdryer, and all the toiletries/coffee/tea/sugar/biscuits/1 pint of milk etc you would expect in a hotel room of this standard). You also get t-towel, washing up cloths, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, washing powder etc....so that when you arrive you are not desperately having to...

My husband and I had a voucher for a spa and cream tea at this lovely hotel. We arrived early and straight away went to the bar for a light snack, chicken and couscous salad, which was delicious. Amarni, who served us, was extremely pleasant and we chatted for a while, finding out a bit about the hotel. Towards the...

The name is rather grand, the staff are fabulous, the food was well presented and tasty, if on the pricey side, the grounds are beautiful but the housekeeping is not! I was really looking forward to staying at this establishment but they really let themselves down on the housekeeping. The room was a generous size and the location accessible by...

Thank you for your comments. I am pleased on balance that you enjoyed your stay. I can only apologize on behalf of the housekeeping department for their oversight in not removing the mattress protector. I have to say, that I thought the staff handled and resolved this really well whilst I was on annual leave. JLF

We stayed for one night and had dinner in the hotel. We had a lovely comfortable room and spacious shower room. We had one of the rooms at the front of the old house, very well appointed, with a super king bed and a lovely view of the grounds. The spa is excellent too with a decent gym and usable...
