Hi, The closest beach is Pentewan and this is a 10 minute or so drive. There are several other beaches in St Austell Bay all within a maximum 30 minute drive. I do hope that helps.

Looking at staying here with my husband and 8 month old, is this a child friendly hotel?

Depends on price and whatsort of food you want Prezzos in St Austell town centre , good italian food, Edie s Kitchen at Carlyon Bay varied menu good food , Biscovey Fish and Chip bar St Blazey Gate for take away
