Decor/style very much to our taste, a warm welcome and folk, a comfortable room, interesting food with pleasant and, praise be, unobtrusive music, a characterful dog and cat and all at reasonable cost. What's not to like?!

What an amazing place, a proper hidden gem. From the moment we arrived we (and our dog, Todd) were made to feel welcome. Although Francesca and Marc have only been here since 2011 the amount of work they have put into this place is amazing. The gardens with their ponds, waterfalls, seating areas and magnificent plants is a joy and...

What a lovely place. Beautifully clean and very welcoming. Breakfast each day was excellent....as was the evening meal that we opted to have. An excellent menu and really high quality food. ....VERY reasonable cost. Very convenient for Eden Project and The Lost Gardens of Heligan. We would definitely return to The Waterwheel. Lovely place and lovely people.

Just an overnight stay but clean and comfy and excellent breakfast. Really interesting building and would have liked to explore garden and well but no time. Evening menu looked good too but we arrived too late to eat. Big bonus was to find a dog friendly hotel and dog made to feel welcome

The last room available for three suited us fine. Superb breakfasts and great evening meals, fine inside, amazing and developing spaces outside, even in a damp autumn. Perfect location for all parts N, W & E Cornwall. Mark & Francesca were patient, obliging and helpful hosts inspite of the workload. Above all the real owners of the place, Kernow the...

Last minute discussion to go away, and so glad we picked this B & B!. The old building was lovely. Our room was warm and cosy and clean, and we had the stream right outside the window. The gardens were also awesome. Food was also great, plenty of choice and quantity. Would go again. Felt very welcomed.

Welcomed by Mark (and Kernow the dog of course!) and shown to our room, which was small but clean and warm and nicely decorated. The Inn has a lovely relaxed feel to it and is perfectly placed for exploring the surrounding areas. The garden is lovely with a waterfall, pergola and pond. The breakfast menu is varied and the full...

There is an enchanting garden filled with subtropical plants. It has a waterfall and an artistic gazebo. Walking around outside after the delicious evening meal is very pleasant.. Breakfast is in a delightful orangery but you need a warm jacket.
