First time in St Agnes and the village is a little gem. We stayed for four nights, meeting up with a daughter in Newquay. The hotel owners and staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. The decor in the downstairs areas is very smart and the room (2) was worth the climb to the top floor for the...

We spent 2 nights in St Agnes hotel. The location of the pub/hotel is great – middle of the town with an easy access to the beach and heritage walks. The staff and the owner were very friendly and we felt very welcomed. The breakfast was lovely. Everything was freshly cooked and very tasty. The room was very clean. The...

Just spent 5 days at the hotel. Very comfortable. Good inexpensive food. Bill the owner very friendly ( despite being a South London boy) with a young but very competent staff. Strongly recommend- personal touch. Tribute beer. Excellent breakfasts. Warm atmosphere. Reasonable at £45 per head b & b.

We always come here every September, the refurbishment is great, makes it so much lighter, the breakfast is good. There is always a friendly welcome and dogs are made to feel very welcome as well. If the weather is good it is good for watching the world go by sitting out the front.

We stayed at the Aggie for a 5 night break. I had stayed there a few years ago and was happy to return. The bar area had been refurbished in the interim with a bright, clean and modern decor but not out of keeping with the rest of the building. Our room was pleasant, clean and airy. It suited our...

Stayed twice for 3 days a time. A lovely character room in this fine old hotel. My Lab stayed in the room with me for a small charge. Bill and Di and all the staff made us very welcome. Standard breakfast all fine and the evening meals [actually served all day] were fine and not over expensive. A lovely family...

The refurb is great! It would be even greater if this refurb travelled up to the bedrooms which are nice but downstairs really does show them up now! The staff are really friendly and welcoming. The pub is in the heart of the village, it always has a good atmosphere, either offering live music or quiz nights on. The food...

My wife and I stayed in May with our Cairn Terrier, Tex, and were very happy with the informality of the hotel. We asked for a table to sit at each night for dinner in the public bar and a nice area was provided with a "Reserved" card. We found something different to eat every night and the meals were...

We visited the St Agnes Hotel as usual on our annual visit to Cornwall to visit family. We popped for Sunday lunch and what a disappointment. We both had the roast dinner the veg was overcooked in places and hard in others the beef was tasteless. Later in our second week we decided the poor meal was probably a one...

St Agnes is a charming village with a great beach and lots and lots of tourists. As a consequence, the St Agnes Hotel, in a prime position opposite the church, doesn't need to make much of an effort as it will always have rooms occupied. The administration is haphazard to say the least and, although the rooms have nice views...
