Calls itself a hotel but more like pub with rooms. Staff pleasant and helpful, evening food good. Breakfast disappointing. Room only ok - needed a good clean and some decent bed linen. Public areas in old part in need of a spruce up. Was happy to leave, sorry.

We met friends here on a recommendation from other friends, Unfortunately there was a wedding reception in the upper lounge ( so no views over the beach bay area. Lounge bar was full so we ended up in the games /annex/ room. Food was OK, about average, but what spoilt everything was the 5 or 6 dogs that were brought...

Our first visit to this fabulous dog-friendly hideaway, recommended by friends - and we will certainly be back. We loved it. Our room was perfect and cleaned daily. The sausage and ale festival held at Driftwood was fun, and despite it being pretty busy at times we were served quickly and the staff were attentive and helpful, especially with our...

The Driftwood is ideally located down by the bay. It has a stunning array of Ales and they are well kept. The bar has a real old world comfortable feel to it. The clientele are a very eclectic mix. There are the locals and the surfers and everything in between. I would class the food as up market pub grub...

Cosy pub with decent lunch menu. Pity it is dog friendly as the smell of dogs was a bit much. Crab sandwichs were good, chicken fillet sandwich contained brown meat which was hardly a chicken fillet!.

We ate here for an early evening Sunday roast and we were really impressed with the Sunday roast we ordered as well as the kids meals. The beers on tap were top class also. Great value for money also and staff very friendly. All in all a great experience and will be back.

Good pit stop that was being refurbished in March . Lovely coffee and good toilets. Charming bar staff who are cheerful and friendly. It is a big venue with lots of places to eat and drink. It has some interesting history around the walls in the bar.

The weather could not have been better to visit Cornwall and instead of an overnight trip we made it a long weekend. We enjoyed our visit so much using Driftwood Spars as our base we wished we had stayed there longer. From Somerset we travelled along the M5 then A30 which is an easy straight forward drive to St Agnes...

What a great pub, it does fantastic beers and fantastic food. It's a very pretty place and can be found not far from the beach in St Agnes. Really nice people and the prices are very agreeable too, highly recommended if you're in the area

Thank Tony B
