We stayed here a week, and we are so glad we did. It is located on a small cove next to Megavissy, which is overrun by tourists. This is a great advantage, because we could walk to Megavissy and enjoy it and then walk back home to a quiet and peaceful stay. We had quiet mornings (see photo from our...

What a fantastic place, traditional English pub right beside the sea. Spacious accommodation and dog friendly. Our room looked out over the beach. Parking on site, food simple fayre but excellently cooked, a blue steak is a blue steak. Great value for money and nothing too much trouble for the first rate landlady and her staff. Will certainly return.

Best view from our room, beautiful little Hamlet. Ideal spot to relax or to use as a base to explore the beautiful surrounding area. Friendly owner and staff. Will return soon! The only small drawback is that you need to be a confidant driver to navigate out of the village and you may think your Sat Nav has gone crazy!!...

Quaint little pub in the middle of Portmellon didn't have food but a good selection of ales etc meant that it was a good little watering hole on a long walk. We were able to sit outside rare in the British summer with a view over the small bay/beach.

We spent 2 nights at the Rising Sun Inn in July 2014. It was an amazing experience. Friendly staff, great food and a warm English pub. Cats sleeping on the bar, and outdoor area where we could sit and have a beer overlooking the harbour. Plenty of things to do in nearby Mevagissy.

A seaside pub with lovely outlook from our room of the tiny cove. Excellent for walking the coastal track in either direction. Not luxury but good for the price. Meals OK. Staff youthful but helpful. Tricky road access for those with cars and not used to Cornwall!
