It's a small world! Jim (previous reviewer) is a member at same golf club as us back in Devon (at Tiverton) and we had no idea that he had stayed here during his charity walk. We had walked the coast path from Fowey and called in at the Par Inn looking for refreshment. Although food was not being served that...

This summer I walked the entire South West Coast Path to raise money for FORCE and Over and Above, two South West charities that support cancer patients and their families. Matt at The Par Inn very kindly agreed to be my Accommodation Partner and Gold Sponsor in Par. The pub is ideally situated for walkers, right next to the coast...

We dropped in on Sunday afternoon while waiting for a train. A warm welcome, lovely people, a truly great pint or two of St Austell and football on the telly. Having beer this close to the brewery is always special.

Tamsin, Matt and Toby gave us a warm welcome and were very helpful in dropping us off at the start of our walk. The locals all made us welcome and the pub has a great atmosphere. The accommodation is comfortable and parking right outside made it an ideal spot. They provide good value for money. Olivia cooked a great breakfast.

Matt was very friendly and helpful. Typical oldish pub B&B accommodation. Room and bathroom were OK, some of which has been recently refurbished but there wasn't a shaver socket anywhere. Breakfast was huge, a real plateful. Offered to give us a lift to the Royal Inn for dinner which was a great help, as they don't serve food here in...

Very good welcome from staff and locals alike. Matt, the landlord was extremely helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean and so were the bathrooms. Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again when in the area on business. Whilst there I'd definitely recommend you take a short trip to Polkerris, a picturesque cove just a mile or two away.

Having done over 450 miles of the South West Coastal Path, this was one of the most welcoming pub, I've been to for a long time. The manager was extremely helpful and went beyond the course of duty to help us with some problems we had. The patrons of the pub were also very friendly and I've learned a lot...

We booked for two nights here because it is cheap and near Eden Project. Right from the start we were impressed. Matt the landlord greeted us warmly and provided superb levels of advice and helpfulness throughout our stay. The huge breakfast was a bonus. The room was good, with a range of extras. The location is excellent, close to Fowey...
