The pub is near the town centre (not that you can be far from it in Lostwithiel), and well placed for a walk around the town The welcome on arrival was really good, warm and friendly, shown to the room, not left to just find it and asked if we'd like to book a table for an evening meal, and...

I stayed here for one night and the staff made me feel very welcome. I had food in the evening, which was delicious and my breakfast was lovely too. I had a free upgrade and my room was very comfortable, including the bed and pillows. I would definitely stay here again. Thanks for a lovely stay

I stayed at the Royal Oak for one night and found the service and hospitality to be faultless and a real joy. I had dinner in the evening and was amazed at the quality of the food - more cuisine than pub grub. Breakfast was equally superb with excellent produce. My stay was a pleasure. Thank you - I would...

Only stayed for one night but would certainly recommend this as a great place to stay when visiting the area. Just off the main road our rooms were quite small but had everything we needed and, with what looked like new double glazing, were also very quiet. The atmosphere in the bar was excellent and from the number of people...

We stayed at the Royal Oak for a mini break at the start of September. Graham and Simon are lovely hosts and made us feel very welcome! Set in the small town of Lostwithiel, the hotel was a good base for visiting the surrounding area. Our room was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. The...

Stayed here one night for a short break on the way to Hayle. Lovely double room and staff friendly and helpful. I have various issues with foods due to IBS and currently following low FODMAP diet. This can make life complex when eating out. However after asking what was in various items on the menu and requesting some things not...

My wife and I booked a two night stay at this lovely Cornish pub at very short notice and what a gem it was. The room was clean and spacious, the pub is full of character and the guys who run it are the perfect hosts. We were made to feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. We ate...

From the moment we got out of the car in the car park to the offer of "can I take that case for you?", to the moment we left, the helpful and friendly owners and their staff made our 11th anniversay weekend one to remember. A good selection of home cooked food at breakfast (and the rest of the day)...
