I really enjoyed The Tyacks, very welcoming and comfortable. A great choice of food well presented, tasty and not expensive. A fine selection of Ales helped it all down. A choice of sized burgers to suit everyone from a light bite to jawbreaker sized and I'm really pleased to find it served up on a proper plate and not on...

We stayed at the tyack and it was it is, a pub with some rooms. Staff at reception were friendly and helpful, we didn't eat here only because we wanted to try other places but it always looked busy. Although a lively pub full of locals our room was quiet except for the road outside, but what can you expect...

My wife and I stayed for four nights at the end of February in room 3 at this very central hotel. This room and bathroom were very large, spotlessly clean, would accommodate 4 people in the two comfortable beds and had a good supply of tea/coffee/chocolate and biscuits etc. The bay window contained an occasional table with basket chairs. The room...

Sometimes rooms at a pub are a poor relation to the bar business, but not at Tyacks, they get everything right, as a hotel, as a bar and as a restaurant. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Reception staff were welcoming, friendly, informative and efficient. Staff elsewhere were equally good. The room was spacious, clean and well furnished with...

Stayed here as our family celebrated a 60th birthday in the restaurant. Good room which was very quiet but very hot overnight. The meal was very good value with huge portions although I felt the puddings left a little to be desired. My chocolate and raspberry desert was a bit dry and a friends toffee was very lumpy. The staff...

Arrived at 6pm and there was no menus or staff to give us menus. Staff were dismissive. Food overpriced for what you get. Fried chicken and ribs was cold, fried chicken had no seasoning, tasted like it was straight out of a fish fryer.

Went there for a few days between Christmas & New Year for a quick getaway. We have two dogs which were welcomed with open arms & were allowed to either be left in the room or can sit with you in the bar area whilst you're having a drink or eating you meals. The staff are always friendly & the...
