I don't have much to add to other reviews really - it's a fantastic location, and very comfy, although the room was a bit snug for my 6ft 4in husband - however, we would definitely return. The staff were so friendly and there is a really nice atmosphere which made it very welcoming. Our room overlooked the river, which was... More

We wanted a one night stop in this area and the Riverside justifiably lived up to the mainly favourable reviews. The staff were pleasant, the accommodation was comfortable and the food was very good (evening meal and breakfast). It is an ideal location to explore this part of north coast of Cornwall and Boscastle is well worth a visit as... More

Ideally situated in the middle of town. Very friendly and attentive staff and great value food of a high quality. Lunch was excellent. For warm dry days there is a very attractive seating area reached across a small bridge over the river. If you are visiting Boscastle this place is well worth your custom at any time.

We picked this hotel on the spur of the moment and were pleasantly surprised. The room was great and the meals (breakfast and dinner for two days/nights were exceptional. The staff at the hotel were really friendly and helpful giving us ideas for day trips with directions to out of the placed that most tourists would not see. Would highly... More

Stayed over on second weekend in March 2014 when visiting my best friend. The room was one up top, facing the road, with the view towards the harbor. I've stayed before, with boyfriend, this time it was more of a solo leisure trip. The staff at the hotel are wonderful, very attentive and helpful, nothing is any trouble at all.... More

Visited The Riverside on a many occasions and each time the experience is faultless. Service being attentive to detail without being in your face from staff, cleanliness to a high standard and food of top quality. Best catering premise in the area. We will be back soon.

The hotel is in a great location & just moments away from the river (as the name would suggest!), a great pub & the fascinating Museum of... More

Perfect location for our coast path walks, and very accommodating for our group's requirements. The staff gave us a warm welcome and were most helpful and friendly giving us personal service. Excellent breakfast and very comfortable room. Very good value. Thank you for a great stay.

The room was nice clean and tidy, let down by being over the kitchen with the noise and smell from the kitchen and the loud vent fans. Not good if you go to bed early ok after 11pm after that lovely sound from the river. As for the restaurant the food not as good as it should be for the... More

This hotel/pub was a terrific place to stay even though the wind howled and the sea battered the coast. Staff were really great and dinner and breakfast a happy affair. Given that this area was under threat [as was much of the south coast of England] the staff were reassuring and helpful with any questions that we had.
