We went on a last minute national tours shopping trip and as such the hotel was classed as a mystery. When we found out where we were going we looked up the reviews and Hey Presto it was going to be one of the worst hotels we have EVER stayed at. GULP!!!!!!! But then you look at the next review...

Our coach of shoppers stayed in this hotel for three nights. After reading the reviews we went with open minds. We found the hotel dated but very clean. The rooms were basic but comfortable. The beds looked old but we're soooo comfy. I slept the best I have for a long time. The shower was amazing with a continual supply...

Staff couldn't care less attitude, bar has happy hour from 5.30 until 7pm but the evening meals are served at 6pm and always only 1member of bar staff who is...

Got the key to the room and one of them wouldn't work which was the first problem! Then once we got into the room we saw that there was a bag over the smoke...

Yes there was bingo and entertainment in the bar area but if this doesn't float your boat go and sit in your room Don't let all the negative comments put you...

I booked into the Britannia Hotel Stockport as is was near a venue I was attending. It was dirty, out dated, scruffy and the stench of cigarette smoke was overpowering. I was very unhappy as I had my 2 year old granddaughter with me. I have complained to the hotel and they agreed the room was sub standard. As a...
