Good location for Bury town centre (10-15 minute walk) and also for Gigg Lane for any visiting football fans making a weekend of it. Russ and Helen are very friendly and welcoming hosts. Rooms are clean, and adequately furnished, with comfortable beds, TV, free w-fi and tea/coffee making facilities. Our 2 rooms were not en-suite but the clean showers/toilets were...

We needed a place to stay close to Heywood and this fitted the bill. It was a working weekend so not too fussy about the location (see google street view) but having read good reviews decided to book and we were not disappointed. Russ and Helen were very welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. There is off street parking...

Stayed here on many occasions as we have family in the area. Yes it's on an industrial estate but it's out the way, great car parking facilities, cheap taxis, clean spacious room, very tasty breakfast and lovely friendly and very helpful owners. I'm surprised to read the 2 reviews below, I'm guessing some people are never satisfied.....it's a guest house...

Double room was tiny (barely enough room to walk around bed) with very outdated decor.  The 'tired' look was complemented by a large cobweb in the ceiling corner and mould in the shower cubicle. Biscuit packets (one opened and half consumed!) and coffeemate were 3-4 of months out of date and breakfast was made from poor quality ingredients (including an...

Location is not attractive as this is an industrial town in an industrial area. Hotel car park was useful. Room was comfortable and breakfast was satisfactory BUT room was not cleaned at least once in the 3 night stay worst-the prices shown on the wall are NOT the prices you will be asked to pay-our bill was £30 more than...

I have stayed twice at the Castle quest house and was made to feel at home, privacy given at all times unless you need help. Breakfast is excellent, so are the owners soon to return back in the very near future

Lovely little guest house just a short distance from Bury town centre run by a friendly husband and wife team who make you feel welcome. Great rooms, comfortable and very clean with tea making facilities.

Booked into this guest house while on a conference in Bury. The place was great; the owners (Russ & Helen) couldn't have been more friendly and coped with my frequently-changing arrival time (traffic!) with the minimum of fuss. Breakfast was superb; I'm a vegetarian but they were more than happy to provide extra eggs, beans, hash browns etc to make...
