Stayed recently overnight for a function. Hotel was comfortable and cosy with nice view from bedroom. Staff were efficient and hotel owner/manager very polite and friendly. Food was excellent including breakfast. Very good value for money . Would not hesitate to book again.

Our Family enjoyed yet another lovely festive afternoon at the Hollins Hey (3rd year running). Enjoyed a lovely 3 course meal in a private room - staff are extremely friendly and the food is lovely. Highly recommended.

We booked here for our sons wedding as at the time we booked it he was living in New Brighton. We had the best day for weather in a week of solid rain. The hotel have a funny arrangement on arrival as the parking and entrance are at the back of the hotel. The car park is small and only...

A family wedding, was booked here, so we decided to stay here. Car park at the rear, enough for about ten cars, ( more if they got rid of two cars that had been left there for some time). Yes the interior decor is dated, but it makes you feel welcome . A lady playing the piano, nice cosy bar,...

Stayed on 11th Nov for a party. Our room was on 2nd floor and there is no lift. My friend booked the room and just assumed there would be a lift and was not asked if there were any special requirements. So it was a struggle getting up and down. The room was clean but dated the shower in the...

We got married here yesterday and cant compliment the place enough. Ian the owner went above and beyond to ensure our day was special. He and Jackie supported us throughout the whole planning process and the day itself was seamless. From start to finish Ian and his team worked so hard, all the guests commented on the old fashioned good...

We were invited to Hollins Hey to attend my friends' wedding, and as it's quite a way from where we live we decided to book an overnight stay. We have had a fabulous time courtesy of Ian Carruthers, the owner and his hard working, dedicated staff. First of all I have to commend Ian on his excellent attention to customer...

The hotel was very dated. It is very small so when you imagine a party it was very crammed. During the evening I had to manoeuvre my way through guests in my wheelchair to go to the loo. When I arrived at the disabled toilet I found stacked inside unused hotel chairs, there was no member of staff around at...

I attended a wedding in early July. Whilst being served my starter of soup the waiter (whom I later found out was the owner!) spilt boiling soup in my lap, not only leaving scold marks on my thighs but ruining my dress which had been bought especially for the event. He mumbled a sorry and brought me a cloth but...
