Booked Sunday lunch at the restaurant. Waited 45 minutes for our first course! Two tables arriving later had ordered and nearly completed their meal before we were served Staff totally inattentive ! Cancelled main course which then arrived 15 minutes later! The starter consisted only of cold meats and rocket leaves . Sad to see such an established hotel which...

We went for Sunday Lunch for my husbands 70th birthday with our family, food was excellent and very helpful staff.Would use this pub again as very good and you can park outside on the road which is a bonus as well.

Good location in the centre if the town with good public transport. Lovely helpful staff and good food. The room was in an annex and had everything you could want though a bit on the small side. Prices seem to vary considerably according to various local events. Poor wifi at times. Rooms rather hot.

Visited here last week in the hope that we could have a cup of tea and some nice cake. The place looks tired and worn. Chairs were not comfortable, crumbs on them before we sat down. The tea was nice but the cake selection was dire. Two or three slices of each on show and cut into very small slices...

Good service, fish and chips were fresh, large portions, prompt service. Batter on fish a tad greasy, my husband pronounced his burger delicious. Plain, honest pub food, very friendly helpful staff - puddings were the icing on the cake

Clean room and friendly staff, great food free parking in street overnight, never any problems. Very old coaching inn with loads of geniune original features including a roaring open fire. Good atmosphere. Well presented restuarant / breakfast area and good food. Very popular and good food everytime I have eaten here.

I have lived in RWB for 15 years and this is the first time I have visited the Angel. Popped in for lunch whilst taking a break from work. From outside the building looks nothing special and you could easily walk or drive past it without giving it a second thought. Once inside you are almost transported back in time...

Booked a single room for a night. It wasn't very big, and whoever designed the bathroom must be a Tetris freak - everything squeezed in. Can't comment on the food as I didn't eat there (plenty of alternatives and types in the High Street). Breakfast was good, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Would stay here again.

Great food. Steak was cooked to perfection. Pizza is homemade and delicious. We did want garlic bread but this was not possible... Pudding was lovely. Easy to park outside. We sat by the fire, a perfect spot!
