Amazing place. Service great and very friendly. Have young children who loved all the fantastic artefacts, antiques and books around the place. So worth a visit if you have an open mind and prefer eclectic to the mundane!

The White Hart is the perfect place to hold a party. We had free access to move from the bar to dining room for a three course sit down dinner to the bar to the upstairs function room to a beautiful courtyard under the stars. The food is the best we have had in a long, long time and the... More

Stayed as part of a large gang of Mountain Bikers. Well appointed clean rooms with all the bits and bobs. Good food and more importantly excellent beer and live music too. The Decor is a bit eclectic, but in a fun way. Good breakfast operation also.

What an incredible place! We stayed at the white hart upon a recommendation and we are so glad we took it. The food is the best I have eaten in a long, long time. With a food hygiene rating of 5, they know what they are doing and we see the white hart has another entry in the good beer... More

The White Hart Coaching Hotel is a Grade II Listed, Historic Hotel. It has a large restaurant, spacious bar and also a separate function room in addition to the rooms. They serve many beers and often have 6 real ales on the go, many from local breweries. Not to mention its extensive Gin, Vodka, Whiskey and other spirits collection. The... More

We stayed here as a group of 18 cyclists. Good food, hot water for all (except my husband who couldn't operate the shower tap), quirky comfortable decor, great atmosphere and a memorable band playing in the bar made for a great evening.

We stayed overnight with a group of friends and totally enjoyed our stay. Our room, recently refurbished, was very comfortable and clean. We ate in the hotel, proper pub grub, and of course drank beer – there was a very good choice of real ales, all well kept. The bar – Saturday night – was lively and a very friendly... More

Arrived for one nights stay and couldnt believe the place. It was like a horders home. We had paid up front 50% of the cost of 2 rooms. There were 4 of us and we were led through a sort of dirty over furnished sitting room, a rubbish strewn courtyard to a scruffy damp room with awfull looking linen on... More

We have a new neologism, ‘tripadvisor terrorist’ inspired by the exploits of a most gruff, rancid woman. This is not an academic quarrel, rather an observation of a psychotic female with a self-destruct attribute. In brief, a routine everyday call to book two twin rooms (four adults) on the ground floor was made a few days prior to their arrival... More

We stayed at the White Hart Hotel on Saturday 6th August 2016. The hotel was ok, an old coaching house, more a pub with rooms than a hotel and in need of some work. I was surprised at the £80 b&b charge, having stayed in a number of hotels in the area. We checked in during the afternoon, and the... More

The clue to Neil C’s apparent misfortune is in his profile picture (and we are sure it will change after he reads this response) of a black elephant covered in white spots... Invert this and you may get the view of his world, a world covered in bed bugs and an inability to call an emergency number. The simple reality... More
