Many years ago the Blue Bell used to be one of our frequent haunts. A number of people had mentioned how good the food was so invited friends over from Leeds to give it a go. Booked a table for Sunday lunch and was advised that it would be very near the carvery. Arrived a tad early but our table...

Called in for a snack as we were passinģ on the A1. I had a chicken, bacon and brie ciabatta and was overwhelmed how much there was! It was like a full meal and the amount of chicken took me by surprise. The chips were great and I would definitely go back. Only downside was having to wait 5 minutes...

There are lots of options to choose from at the Blue bell both on the menu and the specials board. The Sunday carvery was a pleasant surprise with both the quality of the food and sizes of the portions pleasing. It is worth noting that this pub no longer offers hotel rooms. Definitely worth a visit.

We decided to go out for a friday lunch last minute and drove 20 minutes to Wentbridge for a change. There are lots of options on the menus and a specials board is available too. We both had the Steak and Ale Pie off the early menu and a nice dry white wine for my wife and a pint of...

The Blue Bell used to be our first choice for pub food in the area but not now. It still has that old pub feel and the location is great but the night we went was a cold winter's evening and there seemed to be no heating on at all in what is quite a big room - some people...

Booked a table for 2.30pm but we arrived 1hr early which wasn't a problem and we were seated straight away. I ordered the braised venison steak and my partner had the game pie and we were both surprised by the amount of food we were served with, huge portions ( could feed 2 ppl per dish) and you could not...

Visited today August bank hop with family. Booked a table before hand and glad we did as it was busy. Food was great and plentiful. Can recommend the steak pie. Full of tender steak in its own pot with flaky pastry on top. Very good selection of beers and lagers. Would have got five stars but they forgot my chips!...

Just want to say that yet again the staff at the Blue Bell have excelled themselves. We booked for a family meal for a 70th birthday, Ben,Lisa,Rachel and the busy bar staff couldn't have been more accommodating. It was very enjoyable afternoon and as usual the food and service was excellent. 10/10. Thank you from the Stancliffe family.
