I stayed at the Prospect End B&B in Hebden bridge for one night when I walked the Pennine Way. It was a very wet and snowy day. My clothes, my boots - everything was wet. The landlady Ann is a tough women, but very friendly and helpful. She helped me drying my stuff, took me to a supermarket by car...

The owner (Ann) has clear rules which I respect - it is, after all, her house. She likes organisation and certainty too, so I was careful to phone her with my ETA (no problems). She saw me walking up the main road, so was waiting at the garden gate, where I received clear instructions about what to do with my...

Warm and comfortable twin bedroom, very quiet and relaxing setting. Home cooked hearty warming breakfasts, and best of all within easy walking distance of the legendary Fox & Goose pub that specialise in many fine real ales & lagers - which is nice as it means they're not preoccupied with selling food, just good beer! Savile Road needs a bit...

We stayed here for a couple of nights back in early summer 2013 when we were thinking of moving to this area. The landlady is definitely a no nonsense type, she has her particular way of doing things, and clearly tells you the in house etiquette at the start , so she can come across as rather brusque and not...

Had a lovely stay and a superb breakfast, where the landlady was hospitable and gave many breakfast opitions regarding foods and time for sittings. Yes she would like to know by 6.30pm but I didn't find this a problem. It was all ready and waiting at the time we selected. Typically decorated for a b&b in an older house. Nothing...

We stayed three nights during the Tour de France and found Prospect End really very good. Unfortunately Ann, the owner, was not in when we arrived - we knew this before arrival - but were informed we could wait in the beautiful garden area until she arrived. This did not happen as the weather was atrocious so we stayed in...

Although I found the accommodation very satisfactory i.e.clean and comfortable (and definitely no black mould!) I do share the views of some of the other reviewers that this establishment was run by a landlady of the "old school". I read the reviews on Tripadvisor before I stayed and I'm glad that I did as I may have a bit shocked...

Such a lovely place. Really beautiful terrace set obliquely on the hillside above Hebden Bridge. Very pretty garden and charming house owned and run by an equally charming landlady, Ann. We have been four times and can't wait to go back.

Having read the previous reviews we went with little expectations and thank goodness for trip advisor. This is a very traditional establishment with most definitely a "landlady' rather than a "host". We had to stipulate the time of when we would like to have breakfast (given 30 minute slots between 8, 8.30 and 9) and chose 9 am. However, when...
