Spent a weekend in the attic family room as we had asked for en suite accommodation. We were travelling by train so the location close to both the station and the town was fine. Steps to the front door are perilously steep but having negotiated them we were greeted by a very pleasant owner but a far less pleasant odour...

My husband and I had a very pleasant 4-night stay at Laurel End house . Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. There were tea and coffee making facilities, television and heater in the room. The house was quiet and we slept well. The bathroom was next to our room and perfectly clean. The continental breakfast was generous with delicious...

My husband and I stayed a Friday night at Laurel End, booking was quick, simple and straightforward despite us having left it rather last minute. We stayed in the attic which is a family room and had a lovely comfortable stay. The beds were comfortable and clean as was the rest of the accomodation. We liked the fact that you...

I also arrived after a long cycle (100miles) to spend a couple of days in lovely Hebden Bridge to see the Tour of Yorkshire and catch up with friends. We stayed in the attic room & although the owner,Laura was away her partner explained about the breakfast situation which was not a problem as to be honest I prefer a continental...

We arrived after a long cycle ride only to be told that there would be no cooked breakfast the following morning. this was very disappointing as we had another long day of cycling ahead. Owner said he tried to contact me but no message. So we had to make our own breakfast of toast and (half used) packets of cereal...

We had a large double room with a comfortable bed, excellent views, tea and coffee making facilities, a tv and wi-fi. The next morning we has a great full English breakfast at a time that suited us. All...

We booked last minute and were a bit worried after reading some reviews but we had an enjoyable stay. We were made to feel welcome and the room was comfortable, we were able to take our dog which was great too. The bed was so comfy (it is soft but that's what I prefer) I had a great nights sleep...

Booking Laurel End via email and communication was quick and easy, and we had a warm welcome from the owner. The Marina room was spacious and clean, with a lovely view across the edge of Hebden. The bed was a bit soft for me - but that's a matter of personal preference. We shared a bathroom with the occupants of...

Over the last two years I have stayed at Laurel End House a few times. What matters to me is a warm and comfortable room to sleep with clean bedding, clean soft towels and a clean bathroom. I have had all of those in Laurel End House plus pleasant rural views and a hearty breakfast in the classy new conservatory...

It's a shame the previous reviewer didn't enjoy their stay here, but myself and a friend did. We stayed there the same weekend. We enjoyed our breakfasts, our room was sufficiently warm, and we found the owner to be attentive and not intrusive. The guesthouse is reasonably priced, and we'd stay there again. I guess you can't please all of...
