Arrived here on a dark wet night to a warm welcome, pleasantly surprised by the beautiful sunny surroundings the next morning, rented a mountain bike and rode across the rolling tuscan vineyards and orchards -steep at times but worth it, to an ancient fortress town of San Gimignano, had a huge gelato for €2!! The aussie guy who runs the...

I hate the cats who live here... I spent days lazing in a hammock watching them, playing with them, stroking them to sleep at night while sipping delicious Tuscan wine, completely consumed by jealousy at their lives because they never have to leave here. It is the perfect antidote from hopping between Italian cities, an oasis of calm in a...

We hate the cats too because they get to sleep all day while we have to clean so we understand your hatred :) We thank you for staying and we will always welcome our family back with open arms

This was an amazing place with amazing people. I ended up extended my stay and wish I could have extended it longer. It was in a beautiful location and had lots of activities to choose from. Only complaint was the dogs were a little loud in the morning, but other than that everything was fantastic.

This has been the BEST hostel I have ever stayed in. I extended my stay for 4 extra days. Amazing location to get away from the touristy areas of Italy. The dorm room and villa are clean and everything works great. They have extra blankets if you get cold at night. They have free bicycles to rent to explore Certaldo....

The Fattoria Bassetto came as a pleasant surprise, while we looked for a possibility to stay in the central part of Tuscany on a family holiday. We stayed in the "Prince" appartment, which perfectly suits a family like ours. Besides, we love books and here we found a good collection in many languages. Our hosts Tatiana and Francesco were very...

A friend and I spent one night in Fattoria Basseto. It's a beautiful, very old building that felt like going back in time (old portraits on the walls, etc.). The room was comfortable and we had many blankets for warmth. They have a beautiful, cozy library filled with books, where we read in the evenings under blankets. They have a...

I had planned to spend 12 days at this guesthouse. It was impossible to find but I finally succeeded. That's when it all went downhill. This establishment was a nunnery from medieval ages. And believe me it look like no one has lived there since. Now here we go..the room was a disaster ( I must have missed it on the...

Dear Joseph, we are really sorry that you didn't like Fattoria Bassetto like many other our customers. Yes, our property is dated back to the 14th century and seems more like an ancient castle with all its specialties from thick walls and antique furniture to certain particularities of the layout of the rooms. Yes, we are located not in the...

Additional information: 1. I did laundry in town and the small machines were 4 Euro and automatically added the soap so you don't need to buy and add. 2. The Coop supermarket is another 10 minutes on the other side of the train station from the guesthouse, making it about a 30-40 minute walk. Not much shade along the way....

An old monastery. In the middle of nowhere, easy with a car, not the best location by foot. If u get bitten, stay away as mozzies are everywhere, even though the screens r up, they still get in. Trust me. The worst place for mozzies ive been too. Can be used as a Tuscany base, but there are better places....
