We stayed one night at Yajure in a private room with AC. It cost $40 USD and couldn't have been a more disappointing place to stay. Dark, dirty, not well kept, unhelpful staff. We didn't have a private bathroom, AC did not work well, bed was covered in some sort of small animal droppings, huge cockroaches in the room. We... More

We had a private room out the back that was pretty run down. Also didn't seem real clean and pretty sure I got bitten by bed bugs. The rest of the place seems good big common areas and pool. The staff were unhelpful and seemed like they didn't want to be there. To get here you have to wade through... More

Stayed a few nights with some friends because we randomly came upon it when searching for a reasonably priced dorm. At ten dollars including (a pretty poor) breakfast, pool and A/C it was a decent deal for San Juan. The hostel is relaxed and we felt safe walking there from town along the beach after dark. The building has great... More

My girlfriend and I stayed in the private room / privada. We didn't look to closely at the condition of the room and the beds when we first booked it in the morning. From first look at the room it does not look very well maintained but we only planned to stay one night so we could handle it. After... More

The location and facilities of the hostel are great. This place has so much potential, but because of the terrible management I dont think I would advice this place... - The staff is the whole day watching videos,on their phone and being lazy. Dont ask too much !! ( for ex no more toilet paper) - Ridiculous prices: 1 dollar... More

Although this hotel is nicely located on the beach in San Juan del Sur (which is not a surf location), I would not return to Yajure nor would I recommend to anyone else. The owner/manger seems to be unaware of how to treat people properly. When I arrived, he seemed annoyed to have to check me in, it was clear... More

After many weeks of moving around hostels that were dirty and cramped and having issues getting to Ometepe, we googled hostels on the beach in San Juan and found this! Awesome mansion style hostel with kitchen, wifi, pool, ping pong, TV room, free breakfast, bar etc.. (what more could you ask for?) Dorms are clean and have air con at... More

The owner Chelli, stole our stuff. Caught him red-handed. When trying to confront him with it, he got really defensive and ignored the facts. It's a shame that this happened to us. The accomodations and rooms where pretty good.

What a lovely spacious hostel, right by the beach in San Juan del Sur. From the adorable cat Kirra to the comfy big couches, open plan spaces and pool, this hostel is perfect if you want to stay for a few days and make some friends. They have a bar as well and do cocktails and beer. The only thing... More

I stayed 1 week in San Juan del Sur and my stay at Yajure's hostel was very enjoyble. The facilities for recreation that we had were very good (table tennis, swimming pool, slack line) although some others were not working so good (TV, some toilets). We had some issues with the internet connections ans was not working or very slow... More

“I have only stayed in the 6 bed dorm, but it was great enough that there was no need to switch it up. I think that this is the best that is gets as far as the sound of San Juan at night. The common room can get sort of loud from the bars downtown blasting music but the rooms are great!”
