Yes the sites are packed in and there is an established permanent community here. Also a major amusement park next door. Also it's short on amenities but the present management is making improvements. it also includes adjoining 50ies style fast food outlets. But come for the natural enhancements. Tree shaded sites and a short walk to Lake Erie and Presque...

Location is good but not much room unless you are in small tent. Lots of full timers who have built around & onto their trailers. Mostly older trailers. Very funky, we saw one big rig that was over 36' tucked into a corner spot.

I've been going to Sara's for the past 4 years and the staff is fabulous! I have always stayed on the beach side because the waves are nice to fall asleep to. Also, the people who own the permanent sites are very polite and help campers with anything. If you have kids they will love the swimming and the movies...

We have camped at Sara's campground before and it's still an amazing time. This is a unique camping experience and if you love the beach just as much as camping you'll have an incredible time. The sunset is like one you would see in the Caribbean. Beautiful. Located just outside the entrance to Presque Isle State Park (11 beautiful beaches)...

I camped here for 3 nights while working in Erie. I chose to stay here in a tent versus a hotel in order to save money ($90 per night in a hotel vs 3 nights in the campground for the same price). I literally only slept here, leaving by 7am and not coming back until 9:30 or 10pm. The staff...

The office worker who checked us in was very rude and unnecessarily sarcastic. Check in was really rushed almost like we were a burden on her. We had to figure out most of the rules and regulations ourselves including where to park and where the bathrooms were. When we tried to ask questions her responses were snippy and short. But,...

Location at mouth of Presque Isle s.p. cannot be beat. Can easily reach the trail that runs around the Peninsula from campground. On site restaurants (pizza place, retro diner, cheap grub stand). The camp is split by the 4 lane road into the park. Beach side is more popular with tenters looking for a party. The other side has a...

We got into this campground very late and just about missed the office closing! The young guy behind the counter was VERY nice and courteous and advised us towards a tent site next to the RV's rather than the beach because it was windy that night. The bathroom next to the office, near the beach was disastrous and the shower...

We had 3 adjacent sites for our family vacation. The campground is clean and well maintained. The office staff is very friendly. Hopefully we will return next year! We stayed Monday - Wednesday, so we missed the busy weekend. Loved the sunsets and close proximity to Waldameer and Presque Isle. It was pretty cool to hear the waves crashing on...

We've stayed at Sara's once before, and it was a quiet time. The beach looks like a party atmosphere, and they allow a limited number of popups on the beach. On the other side of the road is a more typical campground, where it's pretty quiet. The nearby restaurant is fun, and is family-friendly. We're staying there for Roar on...
