This is by far the nicest B&B I've stayed at in the Lancaster County area! I highly recommend the red room. The room has the old world charm of the time period with all the modern amenities you could think of (wireless, TV and DVD player, large bathroom with heated floor, cozy bed with amazingggg soft sheets, etc.) The downstairs...

Hey JoAnne!! Thank you so much for your amazing review, it means a lot coming from someone who stays regularly in B&Bs!! Oh, just a quick correction for anyone reading this though, you were in the "Crimson Dove Suite"... the Red room is terrific too, but the Crimson Dove Suite is extra-special... a little bigger and that heated tile floor......

My wife and I needed a night away so I booked us a room at the Historic Smithton Inn. I checked in ahead of time so I could see the room and drop off a bottle of wine. Rebecca showed me to the room and explained a few things about the room. The room included complimentary snacks , water, wine...

I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay with us, we certainly enjoyed hosting you!! And thanks for the kind words about my cooking & flexibility on the breakfast-front. I absolutely love to cook, and feel like the "Breakfast" part of a B&B experience is pretty important, so we definitely try to meet guests need for timing and what we serve,...

Only got to stay one night st this very charming inn. Selected the yellow room and it was everything the photo and ad said it was. loved the modern additions of tv, mini refridge, wifi and charger. wish list for room slightly bigger shower and rugs on side of bed as floor was chilly at night. The alarm clock is...

Thanks for your review and wonderful suggestions. As luck would have it, I just found this wonderful Amish rug maker yesterday. Based on your review I think I'll be heading back there to pick up some rugs for the yellow room!! And there is a less-bright setting for our new clocks, I've checked all the clocks in the B&B to...

We had a nice time at the Historic Smithton Inn. Our room, the Red Room, was quaint and roomy. The other colored rooms were empty, so we peeked in, and they all seemed about the size of ours and very nice. We had a large bathroom, however, the jetted tub was very high off the floor, so if you have...

Ah MAN!!! If I hadn't seen it with my own eyes I wouldn't have believed that there were cob webs in your bathroom, but sure enough, at the joint between the old stone exterior wall and the drywall, there were webs that snuck in. Ditto for the spot on the blanket, although our housekeeper caught that one before we read...

When trying to inquire about booking with the Historic Smithtown Inn in Ephrata, PA, I received TERRIBLE customer service on the phone from a male that answered the phone. He was not receptive to booking any rooms with me nor did he offer any solutions for a party of three adults, one child and one pet. Furthermore, the description for...

I'm so sorry about to read about your experience when you tried to book a room with us. I'm not sure where you saw that the Tailor's Cottage can accommodate 5 people, but that is definitely not the case. It can accommodate 3 adults or a family where there are two adults and two children... and we do accept pets...

Stayed with two other couples during the Mason Dixon Wine Trail. Everyone simply loved this Inn. Rebecca and Dave have the perfect personality to manage a B&B. The Inn was very accessible and their own parking is a giant plus. Rooms were comfortable, clean and spacious with all the amenities that you could ask for. Breakfast was spectacular and we...

Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review about your visit here and for all your kind words. Cabin fever, work stress and the deep desire for some quiet time together my husband and I just wanted an excursion. An Internet search led us to this wonderful bed and breakfast. Jack and BJ!! Thank you so much for your amazing and comprehensive review!! Your experience and the "feel" you got when you stayed with us is EXACTLY what we're aiming for, so I'm glad we hit the mark! I'm even more glad that you're planning to come back this summer. With its own easy car parking, and on the main road, this is a good place to base yourself for visiting the area. The beds are comfortable and the rooms spacious. Breakfast is wholesome. The owners are helpful and knowledgeable about the locality. I would stay again and would recommend it to you.

This is a gracious historic house, with ample rooms, imaginative breakfasts, and an engaging host - Rebecca. She was generous with her recipes and local information, and flexible when our plans required that we leave early due to the impending storm. We were two nights in the Chocolate room. Hey Paul, Thanks a bunch for taking the time to share your experience at our B&B. You're right, the back rooms are the best option for anyone really sensitive to noise. We have brand new double-paned windows throughout the house, but some sounds make it through (luckily, the clip-clop of horse hoofs is one of them!!). As for the touchy...
