Whenever we're in town for an auction and Adamstown antiquing, we always stay at the Historic Smithton. We have stayed in just about every room at this point, and sampled many breakfasts. The Inn has a historic but unpretentious vibe, inviting and friendly. There is ample off street parking. The innkeepers are personable and professional (my experience is innkeepers are...

My sisters and I treated my mom to a weekend of antiquing in Adamstown and stayed at Smithton Inn. I couldn't have been happier with our accommodations. The rooms and house were more charming in person and the character of the house is amazing. The innkeepers are a sweet couple who made us feel right at home; we were even...

My husband surprised me with a weekend at the historic Smithton Inn for our anniversary. We had a wonderful weekend! Rebecca, the owner/ Inn keeper, was very accommodating. We stayed in the "yellow room" which was beautiful and very comfortable. The room was outfitted with a fireplace, refrigerator, television, and a very large bathroom. The breakfasts are to die for,...

We stayed one Saturday night on a cold February day. The place is apparently older than the American constitution but that was the last thing I thought of - old and dusty - when we were greeted welcome by hostess Rebecca. Despite early evening, Rebeccas contagious good energy boosted us for a great night in Ephrata. Historic decor in pristine...

Just returned from our Valentine's stay at the Inn. Our room was impeccably appointed, down to the original random width wood floors. Our room had a canopy bed with a wonderful mattress giving us a great nights sleep. Got up this morning and turned on the heated floor in the bathroom, warming the cold tiles prior to showering in an...

We went to Ephrata for a no so happy occasion of the funeral for my aunt, and so I arrived not feeling the happiest. But you know something, the hosts made me feel welcome and relaxed. The breakfast was more than ample. In fact it was the best breakie in PA for the whole trip. We stayed for 3 nights,...

We just left from our stay at the Tailor's Cottage for a girl's weekend (with a dog). Smithton Inn was fabulous! It is well situated and an easy to drive to a lot of the sights in Lancaster county. The cottage itself is charming - beautifully decorated with modern conveniences. The cottage also had a working fireplace which was a...

As a last minute decision, I decided my husband and I needed to get away for a few days as our holidays had been a time of loss in our family. We have two pugs that we love to bring with us when we travel. Finding places that will accommodate pets is not an easy task. When I stumbled upon...

We chose to spend our 30th anniversary close to home. What a local treasure we found when we stayed in the Tailor's Cottage. What a delightful home away from home with every modern convenience and loads of old-world charm. Our only disappointment was that we only had 3 days to take in every wonderful nook and cranny. Breakfast was amazing...

We had not stayed at this inn for several years, and were delighted to find that it is better than ever, in fact it is listed in the Select Registry group of outstanding inns! We were greeted warmly by the innkeeper who showed us around and gave us a brief insight as to the inn's history. It is an historic...
