We spent 4 days in Munnar and all 3 nights at The Leaf. The location is very scenic and the resort itself is laid out well - Like a collection of bungalows and small buildings, where you can walk outside between points. Traveling to the south of India (especially from the US or abroad) is not a relaxing ordeal. By the time we reached the hotel we were worn out. The staff greeted us in a friendly manner, offered some drinks and checkin was a breeze. The Leaf has a really relaxing vibe; we were able to quickly rest up and enjoy the weekend.
The staff is quite possibly the most attentive that I've come across anywhere. Tincy and the front desk crew checked with us frequently to make sure our needs were met. One day while we were away, they were unsure whether we wanted our room cleaned. Tincy was able to track our driver down and check with us so that we'd arrive back with our expectations met.
The food at the restaurants was good; I recommend a masala dosa for breakfast -- it is their specialty. Chris Chacko got to know us and our tastes and always made sure we had a nice meal.
The only recommendation I would suggest to the management is that they could consider updating the equipment in the rec room.
If you find yourself in the middle of south India, the Leaf is a great haven to spend some time.

From the breathtaking views and refreshing air of Munnar to the welcoming staff at the reception and spotlessly clean villa, The Leaf, Chithirapuram, Munnar was the perfect getaway for our family. We thought it would be an issue getting to our destination but Google maps took us right to it. We were there for 3 days and 3 days really flew. We had a private pool in our own villa, with two bedrooms with attached bathrooms and a lounge. Staff were cordial, super helpful and willing to go the extra mile for our comfort.
There are lots of activities around the area like wonder Valley and a dam and Waterfalls all within 10 km radius but you can never hear a car honk or an engine roar. All you hear are the birds chirping and the wind blowing. Magical. If you like trekking, this is a good place to visit.
Food will be an issue if you want to have variety outside the premises of the hotel. Hotel food (buffet) is recommended for all meals cos the prices are super reasonable anyway. From the CEO to the manager to even the cleaning staff, we personally felt that this place Sincerely tried to give you the best Munnar has to offer.
We are surely coming back when the opportunity presents and don't even feel the need to explore other hotels in the area. We are that impressed. Period.

This resort is nestled in the cozy abode of Anachal, Munnar . The spacious, exceptionally neat and cozy rooms with amazing view of the misty mountains will make your stay a relaxing experience . Ours was a four day stay and we were received with great warmth on our arrival. The property is very serene, beautiful and well maintained, with a wide entryway. There are beautiful gardens with creepers and climbers over roofs and walls of cottages. The staff were warm and cordial and we never came across any difficulties in getting our needs met. Covid regulations were followed and great care was taken to disinfect rooms before our stay. The amenities provided included facilities for Hi speed WIFI, recreation such as chess, badminton, boxing, carroms, billiards,ludo, golf ,basketball,table tennis, archery etc. The kids enjoyed the play area . The food served was mouthwatering. The breakfast and buffet had a variety of dishes and they were very delicious . Tea was served in evenings at the walk area and there was a campfire at night where we danced to the songs played. We stayed at the luxurious pool villa which had 2 family rooms with all facilities and an infinity pool . It was great fun for all of us. The arrangements for Valentines Day was excellent ! The resort was beautifully decorated with arrangements for a candle light dinner and photo corner. We also wrote letters for our dear ones which were posted by the resort... What more could one want? Recently as part of our family trip to Kerela, we visited Munnar and happened to stay at The leaf, Munnar.the resort is spacious and green. Here are a few areas and my thoughts around those:
The approach: The leaf is located on the way to Munnar and is approximately 15 km before the main Munnar town. The place is situated about 10 minutes driving distance off the main road to Munnar. The road to the resort looks a bit too deserted, but I guess it's because of it being a hilly area. Personally, I like to relax and stay away from too much of crowd during a vacation, so I liked it.
The Resort: Plenty of greens, swimming pool, kids play area, indoor recreation room with tt/pool/mini golf/chess/fuss ball etc. Outdoor, we haven't explored much, but there was basketball etc. Ideal for a corporate visit and team building events. They plan a bon fire with music every evening and a nature walk daily to keep their guests entertained. Personally, we were driving between places in Kerela and this was one place like home, where my 2.5 yr old could run, have a feel of swings, like at home, in the kids play area.
The Room: The cottage was simple yet spacious. We got the one near the kids play area, thoughtful enough of them as we had a kid.
The Restaurant: we booked via MMT, and got a deal for stay + breakfast + 1 meal (lunch or dinner), which was ideal as we could not plan a whole day out, owing to our kids sleep etc. Food was really good, buffet, with options for North Indians + south indians + Italian as well. The staff is really cooperative and hospital, specially Chef Binni. He used to even help our kid with food and also made special arrangements of jaggery+ ghee for our kid. We were really craving fresh phulka after having eaten out for long during this vacation, and the restaurant served it like anything.
The birthday: We were out for my wife's birthday, and the staff was helpful in arranging a fresh cake at a short notice despite of it being a little away from town area. The flavor was not of my wife's choice, but I guess you cannot have the best of both worlds always.
Lastly, while checking out, we were gifted a nice family photograph in 5 minutes as a memory.
Nearing the resort, we drove to Munnar town, tea gardens, a waterfall off road etc.
It was a refreshing stay and we all had fun overall.

We came all the way from dubai to enjoy the nature in munnar.. We have stayed in leaf resort 4nights.. From the time we check in to the time we checked out we felt as we are family members.. as the staff hospitality is incredible! Our room was silver leaf room, spacious enough for a couple! The most amazing for these rooms is the balcony view over the mountains and clouds.. you can never get enough of the view. The infinity pool is quite nice for some pictures however it’s bit small. Need to mention that rooms are very clean and smells great with lemon grass oil which they used while cleaning. No spa now in the hotel, but they mentioned that next year they may have one. We had touched the warmth in their service in every thing in the hotel from welcoming in lobby, taking care of small details. The hotel do arrange daily nature walk for about an hour afternoon however we requested if we can do it in the morning and thanks to chef benny who took us for this amazing walk.. And here we would like to mention special thanks to executive chef Benny here as he went extra mile with us for special dishes during dinner buffet and always trying to satisfy our wishes during breakfast and dinner time.. Also special thanks to Ms tincy and all ladies in reception area who always received us in smiles and welcoming spirits.. We enjoyed a lot our stay in leaf resort and would love to come again soon..

Visited Munnar in Dec 2019 and i was suggested this place and am so very glad i got to stay in such a good resort. Every single attribut of this place deserves 5 stars. I travelled with a toddler so was a lil anxious about the stay,this place made it so very comfortable and took care of every concern we had.
Excellent service and great attitude by every staff member. They have a wonderful restaurant with amazing breakfast and dinner buffet options. Mr Varghese who was in charge of the restaurant took such good care of us and every guest. He made sure we were well served and on both days gave us a few items from buffet as a To Go for my son's lunch everyday.
They had a bonfire every night from 6:30 - 7:30 with love music and it was so much fun!
Views are wonderful at this resort and the pool, toddler play areas were an added bonus as my 2 year old did not want to leave the swing and see-saw area.
Only thing i would say is the individula room are a lil bit on the smaller side, but we wre mostly outside so it was so much better.
Wonderful stay and service. Will surely visit this place again.

A family from a beach town to the hills for a dreamy vacation and here is how it went.
To begin with the location of the resort is serene and the resort has some breath-taking views to accompany. The moment you enter the property you are greeted and welcomed with a bright smile from the entire front desk Team and the process there after is so seam-less. The high quality rooms provided were clean fully sanitised, very comfortable, well organised, extremely spacious and to add the service by the staff was exceptional as well. Every staff member I encountered, from the valet to the check- in to the cleaning staff and at the restaurant were delightful and eager to help! The property has some cool amenities which are very well maintained and have easy access too. They also provide side seeing guidance and arrange if needed. I would like to individually thank all the staff and definitely want to quote a few names which I remember, Jijo, Muneer, Sandra, Sarin, Bibin, Bibin J, Joyce, Arya, Saranya, Selvam, Harsath, Muhammed and many other whom I had interacted during the stay. Thank you!

What an amazing experience it was with Leaf resort in Munnar The property is located in Anachal which is about 15km from Munnar proper but the distance ensures you get stunning and uninterrupted view of Munnar valley. There are multiple categories of rooms available all beautifully decorated and very comfortable. We stayed in a family villa which has 2 bedrooms, one on the ground floor and the other on the first floor with beautiful view of the valley. The rooms have ac, tv, mini fridge besides sofa and viewing seats in the balcony. Tea/coffee sachets and water kettle is provided and toiletries available in bathrooms. Breakfast is buffet with a wide spread of 8-10 dishes besides juices/tea/coffee and they even have a live counter for eggs/dosas. The property has infinity pool (needs a bit of maintenance), rec rooms with pool table, table tennis, carrom, mini golf etc. Bonfire and music every evening as well as tea/coffee and bhajiyas in the evening free for guests The staff is polite and courteous and they provide you with a family photo as a leaving memento.
We had a great time with leaf and highly recommend for anyone who wants to experience excellent hospitality and amenities

Enjoyed 3 nights in this well designed hotel nestled in the mountains. A warm welcome from friendly staff. Our room was big with near panoramic views and natures dawn chorus without being overlooked. The breakfast and buffet dinner were both very good and the á la carte restaurant was excellent. A special thank you for the extra attention we received at our candle lit dinner sat outside after the bonfire and it's Bollywood hits had finished.
