Beware Beware Beware, they searched our coolers and tents, sniffed our plastic cups all without our permission. Apparently we have no constitutional rights here. They're desperate for tickets at your expense. Hiding in the woods, jumping out unannounced. No professionalism and z

Unlike most national parks, alcohol is not permitted in Dingman's Ferry. Having camped in several places that restrict or discourage alcohol, I took this to mean that they want the campground to be family friendly and not a place to party. Drinking a couple beers quietly by the c

I read reviews both before and after we made the reservations. The more recent reviews had me an anxious mess but, we were pleasantly surprised! We stayed in the last walk-in river site (little bit of a hike with all your stuff but worth it!), had views of the river, shade, and t

I've read some bad reviews about the bathrooms and I'm wondering if anything is new for 2017? Upgrades? Clean?? Thanks!

"Campsites are shady!"
"If camping with a camper, do not take site 11 near the North restrooms. You will have people traipsing through your camp site at all hours."
"Do not bother with one of the coveted lake sites. The sites nearer the entrance and bathrooms are well-maintained and quiet."
"I wouldn't waste the money for a river site again. The portopotties are scary, the massive groups are very loud, and you can barely see the river. Of all the sites we explored site 111 was the nicest I think my friends said. But if it was me, I would skip the place altogether."
"This place should be avoided by people who need clean bathrooms."
