Really enjoyed our stay. We stayed in a suite which was fairly spacious, had a private porch, jacuzzi bath, fireplace and modern bathroom. The food at the restaurant was excellent, expensive but all either locally sourced or organic. The wine and beers were excellent, some good value local bottles of beer at $3 right up to premium Washington state wines...

Recently stayed at the lodge and have been there several times. The staff is so welcoming and this place doesn't miss a beat! It's well worth the money. Time goes very slow and you meet great people too! Deb is the owner and just tremendous!

I paid a total of $209 for a small room over the dining room that had (1) a queen-size bed; (2) a small table suitable for luggage; (3) a long table attached to the wall, suitable for small luggage; (4) a small stool under this table; (5) a table and lamp on one side of the bed. That's it! The...

My husband and I went to the Gateway Lodge for our one year anniversary/honeymoon. We were told we could check in at 4PM. So we headed up so we could be there a little before 4 so we could make sure we found it and found parking. To start, there was no parking spaces available. We had to park alongside...

We stayed in cabin 8. It was just OK but nothing special. The pillows were really terrible. I was expecting more for a select registry establishment. The food was reasonable but nothing special. Breakfast was extra and was really lackluster. I like to travel and will chose to spend my money elsewhere.

Really? You think so? In this case, we have to disagree as Cabin 8 is one of our favorites! It is an authentic "cabin in the woods" constructed from hemlock logs with a stone hearth fireplace. The cabin was recently restored by a group of skilled craftsman/artisans from Ithaca, NY. It has a pedestal tub and a bedside fireplace. The...

My husband and I stayed in the Honeymoon suite. The room was beautiful. It was semi secluded across the drive way from the main lodge. One negative was if you are a coffee person, like me. There is not a coffee pot in room so you have to dress and go across out in the cold to the main lodge;...

Your feedback about going outside for your coffee is appreciated. We have certainly taken note. Our menu is not a large menu but it is intentionally created that way so we are able to maintain fresh and high quality product. Large menus often mean using frozen food, and we aim to stay away from prepared or frozen product. Our Flank...

A getaway to enjoy the fall foliage brought us to the Gateway Lodge. The property is rustic, but very comfortable. We booked a gallery room for the evening. It was very clean with two double beds and a modern bath with walk-in shower. The linens were crisp and the bed comfortable. A nice touch is the heated bathroom floor. We...

The Gateway Lodge is a wonderful, unexpected surprise. From the moment we checked in, the genuine friendliness of the staff was so welcoming. This was actually the first time in all our years of traveling that a staff member took the time to give us a tour of the property. A free wine and cheese reception on Friday evening started...

Gateway lodge is an extremely nice lodge. It has a nice bed and breakfast feel. The breakfast was delightful and the wine paired dinner was a treat. Approximately 1 mile away from the river. River is extremely low which makes river sports difficult.

Gateway Lodge was a delightful place to stay in a lovely park-like setting in Cook Forest. Accommodations are very comfortable and clean and rustic with a mountain lodge ambiance, Each room has a private balcony or deck to relax and breathe in the scents of the pines. Breakfast was included and served in their beautiful restaurant attached to the lodge,...
