Stayed here when visiting family in Gresham area. Easily accessed from the interstate. The hotel is very close to Amazon's huge fulfillment center, where one of my sons works, so I could pick him up after work. Parking lot was very well lit. Desk staff was fine. Room was very clean, well maintained. Bed was comfortable. Masks required in all public areas (good) and desk clerk was masked. Wifi worked very well. Shower was excellent. My room was quiet, and clientele seemed fine. All good. Only downside was that a guy (guest?) was smoking pot in the parking lot.
Very friendly staff, comfy beds, spacious room, and pretty good grab & go breakfast selection. Great place to stay if you are touring the Columbia River Gorge. Close to Multnomah Falls so if you missed them the first day, they are a quick trip viewing the next morning. Please note: Google Maps GPS will take you to the other side of the airport. Best to put in directions for DQ to get you to the hotel.
We stayed here from Oct 1-3. We checked in on the eve of the 1st after 9 pm and the desk clerk, Aimee was wonderful, swiped our credit card and answered any questions. At midnight both hubby and I had finally started to slip into a good sleep when all of a sudden the phone starts ringing. I answer it and it is someone at the desk, not the lady who checked us in, tells me she was doing her nightly audit and we need to bring our card down to get swiped bc it wasn’t done earlier. I asked her if it really needed to be done right now and she said yes. So hubby had to get dressed and go to the desk, neither of us really got back to sleep after that interruption. We were in town to help out my best friend who had just lost her mother and needed our rest, which we didn’t get. I get she had a job to do BUT you should not be disrupting your guests at midnight unless there is an emergency. Next time we come to town I think we will look elsewhere.…
We stayed here on a Wednesday night after touring Columbia River Gorge East of Portland. Nice spot close to highway and still outside Portland. Front desk clerk was friendly. Checked me in early and gave me some suggestions for dinner. Clean room with comfortable beds. Had a little trouble getting the a/c where we wanted it. Breakfast was about normal for Covid. Besides cereal they had bagels and peeled hardboiled eggs (separately packaged).
We stayed here 1 night each at the beginning of our trip and at the end of our trip. First night we stayed our room, even though non-smoking, smelled like smoke and not very clean. I accidentally left my charging cords in the room, and thought I would pick them up on our return trip, but the hotel said they didn't find them. Hmmm. Maybe they slipped under the bed where they don't sweep. Second stay the room was cleaner and didn't smell. Breakfast was free and adequate. Front desk staff were pleasant and helpful. Downtown Troutdale has some good restaurants and the hotel is convenient to the Portland Airport.
I’ve stayed at the Comfort Inn Troutdale a couple of times and find it a great place to rest my bones. The staff is great, especially Cash, it’s quiet and it’s very convenient. And it’s right next to great walking area close to the Sandy River before it empties into the mighty Colombia. And, at this time of year, you can pick wild blackberries as you’re strolling. How awesome is that?
Comfortable and clean hotel right next to a Dairy Queen and across from a small airport. We were concerned about possible noise from the small airplanes and helicopters. To our surprise, we didn't hear anything from our room. Breakfast was very standard. It is located on the "other side" of the freeway from almost everything else but it is still a convenient location. We even walked to downtown Troutdale and there's a nice walkway underneath the freeway overpass. Easy access to the freeway makes it a pretty quick drive to downtown Portland. We were here for a family event in Troutdale and would stay at this hotel again if we're in the area in the future.
Stayed for 3 nights, there was no housekeeping the entire stay, don't know if that is standard practice, Covid, or what. The breakfast was very standard, yogurt, bagel, juice, coffee, nothing hot. Room was very clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly. Would stay here again if in the area.
We stayed in four Comfort Inns on our Oregon trip. We will be staying in more in the future as we were impressed with the appearance, comfort, and cleanliness. They all seemed new, with all the conveniences such as many electrical outlets and charging stations. All had friendly, professional staff. Here the lovely woman at the desk was very helpful in giving us restaurant recommendations and directions. Most were taking COVID precautions and had a breakfast bag. Here the bag was heavy on sugary items, but we appreciated the effort. This motel is an easy off from the highway, but don’t miss going into the charming town of Troutdale. I recommend di Pompello for Italian dinner. And after a hot 9-hour day of getting there, I had a craving for ice cream. We found a Dairy Queen right next door. This is an excellent location for visiting Multnomah Falls. I especially liked the berm behind the motel for looking out onto a green hillside rather than a parking lot. I’m sure it also cut any noise from the highway and railroad. I would definitely stay here again. Our only disappointment was that they did not honor our request for a room, giving us the exact opposite of what we asked for. It seemed strange since we only saw three other people there and rooms seemed available.…
Comfort Inn Columbia Gorge maybe outside the hustle and bustle of the city the Portland, but it's close enough to the things you need including multiple restaurants and an outlet mall shopping is not too far away as well in Gresham, and Wood Village. The restaurants include to truck stops one with a traditional restaurant, and one with grab-and-go food, also a Shari's and some other fast food choices in the area. In a pinch there is a Dairy Queen across the parking lot from the hotel's front entry. Freeway access is super convenient, and doesn't seem super loud from the rooms. Beds are very comfy have a good night sleep is nearly guaranteed. The late check-out is very very nice much later than most hotels offer anywhere. This is a must stay place if you want to be near the city but not in the city. This facility is our go-to when in the area. Keep up the good work Comfort Inn…
