We had one of our unusually sunny days lately which called for a drive to lunch. Troutdale is always a fun little town to explore and shop in and Edgefield is consistently a great place to meet friends or get away as a couple. I was hoping they had carried through the weekend with St Patrick's Day festivities but it...

I had such a wonderful time there. The place is quite and full of fun and activities. The wine tasting and the beer is just amazing. I would come back in a heart beat . This seems to be a place for all kinds of people and interests

This place is like adult candyland. Excellent food, beers, wines, liquor, cigar shed, various bars, soaking pools, and friendly people. Have breakfast delivered to you room. Golf course, live music, and trails to walk on all over. The rooms are so cool and lots of history here. I try to stay here wherever I'm in Portland.

wandered around the property - shared a bottle of black rabbit red - enjoyed the mini bonfires - very busy place - LOTS of dogs barking at each either as they passed.. had lunch at the POWER House/Station - great service but my salmon was over done a bit and the capt neon burger didn't have any neon - but...

My husband and I stayed as part of a 1st wedding anniversary gift he bought me. Whilst the hotel is quirky and set in beautiful grounds, it's definitely not great for light sleepers. The noise was terrible, from the trains going by to people slamming doors late at night, and the couple in the room above us enjoying themselves at...

This hotel is nothing short of a magical mystery tour! The grounds are gorgeous and the main building has undergone a transformation like nothing I've ever seen before. Every bit of wall, ceiling, floor, door, window and pipe is custom painted with beautiful and clever artwork. There are a few suites that offer their own bathroom, which is GREAT! The...

On a spur of the moment trip over the holiday break we chose The Edgefield. Our room was a King with bathroom, it was a HUGE room. As if on queue, it snowed while we were there. The Dickens carolers were out, the gas lamps were lit and decorated with wreaths. it was like a scene from a movie. The...

This would not be somewhere I would normally stay but I wanted to try it out for a different experience. I am not really big on not having a bathroom in your room or not having a temperature controlled room. Maybe bring your own fan during the summer time...rooms get out. What is really cool though is all the artwork,...

I have a friend that comes up once a year from Las Vegas for a visit. A few years ago we stayed here for one night before I took her back to the airport. Now it is a must every time she visits! There is so much to do with pool, movies, dinner, shopping and the outdoor pool is the...

We stopped for lunch. Had a very tasty Veggie Curry and local Chardonnay. The staff were excellent. They brought us maps of the place and a booklet describing the history. They knew it was our first visit. They have an interesting gift shop. We enjoyed wine tasting afterwards in their wine tasting/ brewery area. We tasted the white wine flight...
