We really enjoyed our stay at the Cape Lookout State Park. The beach is long and nice to walk with the dogs. There are some great photo ops as well. We were very glad to have access to full hookups for our RV. The campground sets back in the trees and is nicely protected from the wind. Good sized camp...

From a distance and in a few places not accessible by motor vehicle this is an incredible natural treasure. Miles of sand beach, dramatic ocean waves, the local Dory fleet, sea birds, amazing geologic features and beautiful sunsets. Sadly, in spite of signage and regulations intended to make the area safe and enjoyable for all, it is becoming overcrowded, littered...

There were 3 trails of about 5-7 miles. North, south and cape look out of easy-medium difficulty level. The view was gorgeous and we picked a sunny day in cold month of Feb. Due to rains the trail was slushy. Wear rain shoes since showers are mostly expected.

What an amazing experience! We came to celebrate my birthday and had an amazing stay. It's a little more crowded than most campsites, but is totally worth it. Everyone was very respectful and kind. There are lots of kids and pets as well. This is a great location to go on day trips and is about twenty minutes from a...

We have camped here several times in the camp ground and love it. This time we impulse reserved a deluxe cabin the night before going dice it was supposed to rain, a lot, and it was our anniversary. We weren't sure what to expect as we have never rented any of the park system cabins. We loved it. Viewpoint of...

My husband and I pulled into Cape Lookout ready to camp. It was my very first camping experience, and they did not disappoint! Our campsite was in the first row of sites, close to the bathrooms and showers. Just over the dune in front of us was the ocean - it was just a short walk to get to the...

This campground is a wonderful spot. The sights are secluded by thick hedges with beautiful berries, bunnies, chipmunks and small finches. Showers and restrooms are close with plenty of hot water. The beach is a short walk over the dunes. I recommend bringing bikes just for fun. There is also a great hike, North Trail, about 2 hours one way...

We got a campsite right next to the beach. This is the kinda of beach you dream of...beautiful with not as many crowds. We had the perfect weather for beach time. The campsites, although small, were well taken care of. Bathroom and shower area are cleaned each day. Great place to stay!
