This inn is a pleasant surprise. The Dalles was the starting point of our Columbia Gorge trip. Gunner at the front desk was knowledgeable about historical sites and was helpful with dining recommendations. The rooms are modern, clean and comfy with views of The Dalles dam. A memorable stay.

Ok, need a place to stay in The Dalles? This is as good as it gets for a pretty convenient, very comfortable, nicely appointed stay. Yes, it is a little ways out of town and a bit tricky to find the first time. Once you are there, it is quite simple to locate. Do a map search on line to...

We stayed one night as part of a road trip around Oregon. We had some difficulty finding the hotel, as the steep slope was messing with our GPS unit. We were surprised by how industrial the area looked, and the little 'village' directly below kind of on the driveway. It was generally a bit of a weird setup for a...

This was a real surprise to me and my husband. We did not plan on spending the night in The Dalles... We were meant to go straight to Portland but the driving conditions being pretty bad, we decided to find an reasonable hotel on the way. The Celilo Inn was the most reasonable one and we decided to try it...

We are giving them a five star rating for overall value-- it is a five star when comparing it to comparably priced hotels. We enjoyed our 2 night stay here. It has been nicely remodeled while retaining the overall 50's vibe. The rooms were spacious, clean and modern. They gave us a "Columbia Gorge Passport" for visiting some of the...

Don't judge books by their covers, and don't judge the Celilo by its exterior. We were more than pleased by the terrific room, and all the extras. A nicer stay than we've had at several of the Hood River motels. Great view of the barges entering the locks at the dam, nice breakfast, and extremely clean room. A great bargain....

Traveling to The Dalles for business l picked the Celilo because it was close and had great reviews. I was not disappointed. It is very quiet, rooms are very clean and the staff is wonderful. Gunner welcomed me on the first night. He was very helpful and went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable. Paula another front...

My husband, dog, and I stayed here the weekend after Christmas after seeing a discount on livingsocial. What a lovely weekend we had! We'd never stayed in the Dalles before, and the Celilo Inn was clean, welcoming, and nicely renovated. In warmer weather, I can imaging this being a fun place for a group to stay (reunion, wedding, etc.) -...

Although I chose this hotel as it was a little more than halfway to our destination, it surprised me in many ways. The front desk staff, even withour late arrival, was very curteous and explained all of the amenities, local attractions, eateries and such. We went to our room, which was really immaculate. They had called two days prior to...

This past weekend we stayed for the 2nd time at Celilo Inn. We love to travel and the Columbia Gorge is a beautiful area to explore. The rooms are clean, classy and have a great view. Nothing overly fancy but very nice comfortable place to stay. The staff is always helpful, and the breakfast is just right. Thank you Celilo...
