We stayed in a small, single room, detached cabin ("Sage") with our dog. If you are looking for high-speed wifi, many tv channels, and luxury toiletries, this is not your place. This is a place for relaxation, detaching from technology, and enjoying the local flavor. Our cabin had a small porch with a pond view (though it was November so...

We spent one night here on our travels home from Nevada to the Willamette Valley and were delighted with the friendly staff, clean room and great food at the restaurant. The sunset and sunrise were spectacular! We stayed in one of the lodge rooms, which was all they had available. Next time we will plan farther in advance and get...

We recently stayed a couple of nights in the Ponderosa Cabin and other than a few hiccups that the owners addressed, we had a nice visit. The flies were particularly bad and since there is no screen door, we had to keep the cabin door closed and couldn't enjoy the lovely Fall weather. Cell reception depends on which carrier you...

Small cabins on summer lake. So serene and peaceful. Watch the fish jump, the herons fish, and the horses next door. Across from wildlife viewing area, five miles from petroglyphs, beautiful country, close to hot springs. Good restaurant on site, friendly hosts. We plan to return at every opportunity.

What a lovely spot to spend a few days. We stayed in the Ponderosa cabin at the beginning of September. It was a clean, pretty cabin, with a gorgeous view of a small pond and mountain. We saw herons, ducks, and quail, as well as some horses grazing near the pond. I spotted a golden eagle sitting on a fence...

The room has a rustic lodge type decor which fits with the setting it is located in-the Oregon outback. The room was clean and comfortable-nothing fancy. Good price. Check in process is very easy and the restaurant is just a few feet away from the room. Next time we will try for one of the cabins.

We stayed at The Lodge At Summer Lake for an impromptu family reunion. We brought kids, dogs and lots and lots of people. The cabins are amazing. Right on the pond, fully stocked with fish. There are BBQ's and fire pits available and some cabins have private porches. Even a restaurant on the property! Staff is super friendly and helpful....

We stayed the Saturday night before Fathers Day. It was our first time. Yes, we do plan to go back. It has a small motel and several cabins on a pond with fish. Nothing fancy but comfortable. The restaurant serves a great breakfast. We did not have lunch, but dinner was very good with a limited menu.

I intended to write this review sooner as my husband and 2 children stayed in this hotel last year. We happened on this place while on an Eastern Oregon road trip. We stayed in one of the hotel rooms as the cabins were all booked. The hotel rooms were small but very clean and beds were comfortable. The small lake...

Our party of three "birders" wanted to visit Summer Lake in southeast Oregon's "Outback" but we knew that motels were few and far between in this land of sagebrush and cattle ranches. To our surprise, we found the Lodge at Summer Lake at just the right spot--next to the entrance of the Summer Lake Wildlife Refuge. An even greater surprise...
