We stayed here 1 night & found the hotel to be comfortable. It has a nice sized indoor pool (but no hot tub) & fitness room. Friendly & accommodating staff. Great bed (though very high). We were on the "quiet" side (room 400) & found it nice & quiet with no outside noise. The complimentary breakfast is very good with typical items available ... the star of breakfast though was Cheryl who did a fantastic job in keeping fresh items in stock & even bringing "special" items out for my wife. I would stay here again without a doubt if in the area.

This hotel is close to the wine tasting area on 99W. It was a good location to get on and off the highway. One other perk of the location is that you can take a walk to the cute Sherwood downtown area. The staff was friendly, and helpful. Due to COVID there was a limited hot breakfast, and reservations were taken for pool times. (We actually liked the pool reservations because as families traveling together, we could easily overwhelm the small pool with kids that needed to blow off steam.) We felt the rooms were on the smaller side, and the barn door bathroom did not seem to be super private, but everything was clean.

The hotel was clean and inviting. Warm greeting by the desk clerk. Room was clean and comfortable. Well lite parking lot so it felt secure. Breakfast was good with a good variety of food. Draw backs. Ask for a room that doesn't face Hwy 99 as it's a loud road and there's a traffic light right outside with accelerating vehicles. We travel with a pet and the $75 pet fee is pretty hefty. The fee is good for several nights but when you're only staying one night that's pretty high.

This hotel is 6 months old and the furniture is stained and the finishes cold and hard. This is not a cozy hotel. We had a room on the highway side and we told the front desk that it was as if our bed was on the highway in the emergency lane. I did not sleep at all, nor did my husband. Could not get out fast enough in the morning. Poor front desk guy was untrained and fumbled around but extremely friendly and accommodating. I was a bit shocked that he was wearing a t-shirt and baggy pants. Not professional. The PTAC machine was malfunctioning (33 degrees outside) so you were either freezing or sweating as the thermostat was already broken. The toilet paper holder is already falling off the wall, the showerhead was so loud it sounded like it was run by lawnmower. I have never seen such a heavy entry door, better get to the gym before you come to open and close the door. We could hear every conversation in the hall, in detail. I am surprised this is a Hilton hotel, I could never recommend this to anyone and Hilton should be ashamed for allowing such an ugly design to the room.

Thank you for your recent review. We appreciate every survey we receive good or bad. We will utilize this to help ensure we are training our staff correctly and our Maintenance department is keeping up to date on maintenance request. The Hotel has purchased white noise machines to place in all the rooms on the highway side of the hotel. We are also looking into getting another layer of glass installed on the windows to help with sound reduction. We hope the next time you are in the area you will be able to stop by and give the new enhancement a try. Also we are working on getting a hot breakfast to serve our guest.

We loved this hotel. Staff was very friendly which is refreshing! Great breakfast. Hotel was clean, the only issue was some random items and food my kid found under the bed. The beds were pretty comfortable but very high (not the best for small children and babies if they sleep on the bed with you). We had two queens in our room and although the barn door for the bathroom was cute, it didn’t allow for privacy and didn’t lock (which could also be good if you have a kid who may lock themselves in!) My mom had a room with a king bed and it was really nice and the toilet was in a separate room from the sink and shower, and it had a regular locking door, so in the future I would request a king room. Overall we would stay again!

Thank your for the amazing survey! We appreciate you and your family for staying with us. The barn doors are a love hate relationship They are beautiful but as you mention they do not lock. Latches fore the inside are being looked at to possible be installed. Studio Suites are beautiful rooms with barn doors and a looking bathroom door. Best, Hampton Inn

This was by far the worst Hotel stay in my life. I had booked a King room and had my confirmation of that room. I checked in late at night and they gave me my room keys. I wanted all the way to the second floor and opened to door to a double queen room. I walked all the way back downstairs to tell them they made a mistake and they said, oh sorry we don't have anymore king rooms. But I had a confirmation and I never heard they didn't have that room and when I checked in they were not even smart enough to tell me it wasn't the room I reserved. It was 11:00 at night so I had no other options. They should have told me ahead of time so I could stay somewhere else. The elevators are trashed dirty and it is a brand new hotel. The bathroom tub spout was broken and caulked into place, the bathroom had tooth paste on the floor and was dirty and the beds are terribly uncomfortable. I asked for my room rate to be refunded and they said a supervisor would have to call me because of course they have some kid working the front desk and he couldn't do anything. No one called, so I called and spoke with a supervisor and asked that my room be refunded. They would not refund my room rate. I didn't have another choice to book another hotel because they didn't tell me ahead of time and It was 11:00 at night. That hotel is the cheapest, dirtiest "new" hotel I have ever seen and will never recommend or stay there again.

We have stayed here over several years and have noticed the decline in the overall experience. This property has a great location with access off the Pacific highway near many retail establishments. The hotel's amenities have been reduced over the past year with elevators, drinking fountains, some electric plugs inoperative. Fewer food offerings for breakfast as well. Every year we visit, the breakfast juice machine is ‘out’ of at least two offerings and there has never been orange juice available. The soy-based breakfast meats are, well, scary. Never any bacon or ham, just a processed pork like substance pressed every other day into different forms. The fruit offerings on this visit was limited to old bananas and nothing else. They should update the pictures on their web-site showing offerings that are not at this location.

Most of the staff do an excellent job! Sheri, who runs the breakfast operation most days, is the best! Most of the desk staff are efficient and professional. A few are obviously unhappy and a poor fit for the job.

Overall, this is property is not at a level of service we usually enjoy at a Hilton. We hope they get things back on track.

This Hampton is at a great location, easy to enter and exit from Highway 99 in Sherwood. My only dislike was the choice of sliding barn door on the bathroom, no privacy at all. The breakfast service was excellent, very nice choice of food items. It was nice to have a white noise machine available, but it really wasn’t loud enough. I didn’t even expect there would be one though, so it is a thoughtful idea. All in all, a very good experience.

I spend 90+ nights per year in just Hilton brands alone and travel to Portland/Sherwood regularly. I'm middle aged and not high maintenance. Additionally due to my industry/company, I was required to travel during the entire COVID nightmare. I totally understand the challenges and changes the pandemic brought to hotels and have a great deal of respect for the hospitality industry as a whole.

However new-ish; this Hampton Inn is lacking the standards I expect from the brand.

My major issues:
Lady at check-in was not proficient in English. She was confused by how I was able to select my room prior to my arrival, nor did she respond to my text messages via the app. She didn't acknowledge my diamond status until after I was checked in and only when I forced the topic.

Room smelled like a wet dog. Room door; extremely difficult to engage the deadbolt. Even with all the lights on and window shade up; room was too dark to work in. No hair conditioner provided but separate body and hand soap dispensers?

Breakfast each morning at 8:00am sucked! Missing the options typically found at all Hampton Inns. No yogurt, no cut fruit, no power/breakfast bars, missing toppings for oatmeal. biscuits and gravy with no biscuits. I addressed this with the breakfast lady to be told they are out or just don't offer it.

I don't believe either car charging station worked my entire 5 days there.

Checkout was a different lady. Asked me if I was an honors member when it clearly states on my folio "Diamond" and my number.

At $169.00 (including tax) per night; expensive for such a disappointing Hampton Inn experience.
