Who designed the rooms of this $200-a-night hotel? The rooms are cluttered with so many useless pieces of furniture there is barely enough room to move around the bedroom. The ‘bathroom’ sink is outside the shower/toilet area making it really difficult to shave and get dressed. But the capper to this over-priced room it that the one piece of soap provided for shower and sink is so small, be careful to does slip down the drain!
Good location. We had traveling for 10 days straight across country. Asked for a quiet room away from Highway. Not sure if it was because it was Friday night but noise was really loud from all the traffic. Check in staff were great and room was very clean.
Full service hotel with warm and friendly checkin staff. Spacious rooms and good TV selections. Comfortable bed and clean bath. Lots of eating choices nearby. Convenient location to area sites and easy access to the city. Mental hospital museum is nearby and a worthwhile visit.
Nothing super remarkable about this hotel other than the decor & furniture were above average for a budget hotel like this. We had no issues during our 3 night stay. Keurig coffee machine was nice to have but it was only stocked with Decaf and by the 3rd morning, more decaf arrived despite requests for more regular pods instead. Lobby is pretty and staff were nice. Also nice to have a small mini-store by the front desk with some basic amenities/snacks. I've stayed at the Doubletree across the street and thought this hotel was safer and quieter due to the fact that it doesn't have a 24 hr fast food restaurant next to it. We never saw any security issues here. Beds were comfortable and rooms were clean. Nothing to rave about but also nothing major to report negatively.
Worst experience I have ever had at a hotel. Having event in the lobby, no one wore mask. When we questioned the manager, who didn’t have a mask on, told us she was calling the police and having us kicked out. Decided to leave they would not refund our stay. Resolved that with our credit card company. Don’t stay there. Money over safety.
the area is a disaster of Drug abuse and Homeless urinating in the street , I pulled up to the hotel and 4 rough looking druggies were draining the oil from a car in the parking lot and letting it flow down the gutter .. no seen security .. I just kept driving and lost my 150 dollar reservation.. worth the lose to still be alive
Hotel is not in a good area. Homeless camps are less than a block away. Don't feel safe walking in parking lot at night. Hotel over sales their rooms. Booked Suite and was told no suites available. After long discussion, they found one suite and other room was a regular room. Unacceptable. Rooms are clean. Beds are comfortable. Shower is very nice. Internet does not work at all. Only one Elevator was working. Long delays waiting for Elevator. Rooms are very noisy. Beware.
stayed here for a week. housekeeping didn’t come even once. only one working elevator, the other was broken. wifi isnt great. toilet doesn’t have a lid. there’s no way to turn the fan on in the bathroom. not enough towels, had to ask for more. the check out slip they gave me was for the wrong room. other than that, the room was okay. good lighting & mirrors. bed was comfortable.
Overall good experience. Because of Covid a lot of things where closed, but that is kinda how everything is right now. Would stay again if I needed a place to go. Staff was standard, but got me everything I needed.
We stayed at this hotel the first week of October 2020. I gave them the opportunity to resolve this and have spent hours on the phone trying to get some resolution from the hotel manager, no response no return call nothing. Multiple promises but no follow up. First let me start with we stay at Holiday Inn ALOT, And I’ve never had an issue with our rooms. We booked our room for 2 queen beds for a 2 night stay. Upon arrival to the hotel at approximately 430/5 o’clock we were informed that they did not have a room for us. The employee looks in the system for about five minutes and finally says I think I have a room. I was relieved as all the hotels in the area we’re full. When we got up to the room there was a strong odor in the hallway and as you enter the room the odor was even stronger. Best guess is that it was some sort of chemical smell like bug killer or repellent. It did not smell like cleaning supplies or anything of that nature. It was overwhelming and smelled honestly disgusting. The carpet looked like it had not been vacuumed there were wrappers on the floor and the carpet was horribly stained. The bedsheets had hair on them when you put the top blankets back, and the air vents had huge clumps of dust falling out of the ceiling vents. I immediately went back to the desk and asked if they could change our room and explained the issue with the smell and the cleanliness of the room. He said sorry but that was the only room he could find for us. I don’t believe they’re cleaning staff was there he said he could have somebody from maintenance go up to the room but that was all he could do. I asked if he had any kind of air freshener or possibly a frebreeze. He left, checked and came back and said he couldn’t find anything. He apologize and was very nice but he said there was really nothing else he could do. He told me I can offer you a discount on your room or you can try to find another room in town and when my manager gets in the next day they can compensate it further. We really didn’t have any other option as every hotel was booked in the area. We had just driven 11 hours and we’re exhausted so we proceeded back up to the room and tried to go to sleep. Unfortunately, we spent the night with little to no sleep. The smell was so bad it gave us all headaches, you could taste it in your mouth it was just gross. At 7 AM we went down to the desk and asked to speak to the manager I was told that he or she would be there by 9 AM. I asked again do you have another room and he said no we are all booked. He said you’re welcome to check out and we will not charge you for the second day but that’s all you can do. We luckily found another room at a hotel with a king size bed and a rollaway. I came to the desk at nine and asked for the manager the employee said they’re not here yet. I came back twice more before we left the hotel and still no manager. The young man at the counter said he would have the manager call as soon as he or she arrived. Let’s just say I’ve been waiting for two weeks and I still have not received any call from the manager. I’ve called multiple times and no response. A few days later I am charged for two nights stay. I spent over an hour on the phone with their customer service department trying to get it resolved as to why I’m being charged for nights I did not stay. I have called their customer service complaints department and opened up a case, I sent the messages via Facebook, and I’ve called multiple times and left messages at the hotel. I gave them the option to try to resolve this before posting a negative review but as you’ll see in the photos The room was not clean and in this pandemic world we live in at a minimum you should be able to expect the room to be clean.…
