This was our second stay at this Westin. Both rooms had very comfortable beds, we're all appointed and quiet. We stayed on high floors both times. This time we were next to the elevator but did not hear it at all. The room was a bit hot despite adjusting the thermostat twice. $37 to park was a bit much but...

So good to hear that you enjoyed some Heavenly rest in our great beds. Given our efficient foot print its tricky with the distance from the elevator, but I am pleased to learn that it did not take away from your experience. I am indeed sorry about the parking prices, but as in many cities parking is a sparse commodity...

The location of this downtown hotel is fantastic -- easy walking distance to all sorts of restaurants, shops, and things to do. And the furnishings are elegant and modern. However, the building is old no matter how updated things look. As a result, we didn't get a good night's sleep because the old heating system never got our room above...

Great to hear that you enjoyed the furnishings and the friendly welcoming staff. I am sorry to learn that we did not do a better job of service recovery. I have circled back with the individual that checked you out and provided some coaching on the empowerment and tools that we offer our Guest Service Associates. As it was their...

Stayed here for two night with girlfriends. The hotel is in walking distance to everything. Good location. Restaurants in walking distance. Staff was pleasant and helpful with directions. In the morning, there is coffee, orange juice and water in the lobby all complimentary. Would definitely stay here again.

From the moment I left the airport I fell in love with the hotel. The Tri Met tram dropped me off a block from the hotel so I didn't have to pay much to get to my hotel. You have the option to take the tram, however, the experience of the tram is great. The hotel checked me in early,...

The Westin Portland definitely lived up to its standards. Upon our early arrival we were quickly checked into a room. The room was clean, nicely furnished, and cozy. The staff was very friendly and ready to give suggestions about Portland attractions and restaurants. When I requested an extra shampoo, it was promptly delivered to the room. We were very satisfied...

Normally on business trips I stay multiple nights but this was just a stopping point to Seattle. I was provided a nice corner room on the top floor. My pros and cons Pro: the ladies at the front desk were very helpful with ideas of places to visit. It's a Westin, so familiar smells, familiar feel. Con: the elevators take...

Thank you for sharing your experience at The Westin Portland. I am delighted to learn that your stay was renewing but quite sorry it was so short. We are working on Uber as you are most correct in that our Taxi situation is quite challenging and just now city ordinances do not allow for such a service. The team at...

I connected with the Westin Portland via Twitter upon arrival. Their social media community manager was quick to offer restaurant, winery and activity advice. They also offered names of guest services representatives who were available to help with any other information. I stayed connected during my entire stay as I felt like I had a local friend offering hidden gem...

Location was great, lobby welcoming, and valet good. But I've come to expect more from a Westin. Room was average at best (beds Westin comfortable) -- the glass on my nightstand was greasy and the door jams splattered with what appeared to be coffee, beat up and dirty. Carpets stained and bathrooms sub-par. Some rooms had walk in showers, I...

It is troubling to learn that your stay was not a better experience. Feedback is a gift, and I will be reviewing this with my team in our morning meeting in an effort to prevent another guest from having this type of stay. We pride ourselves on offering the highest levels of service and at a minimum clean and comfortable...

This hotel definitely ranks high for me. We were there for a night because we had a gift certificate but after experiencing it first hand,we would definitely stay here again. The concierge/check-in staff was great (even after a bit of a wait) and getting a penthouse room certainly made us enjoy the experience even more. The hotel is central to...
