We had an absolutely amazing time at the Mark Spencer. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Josh, the bellhop/concierge gave us a great list of areas to check out as well as got us in to a really nice bar that is unusually hard to get into, even on a Wednesday. The rooms were comfy and helped us feel as...

We really appreciate when our guests take the time to review our hotel. I'm so happy you enjoyed your stay with us. My staff was extremely excited about their mention in your review. They actually shop, dine and visit the same attractions they refer our guests to. We love our city and are happy you do, as well. It was...

Stayed at The Mark Spencer on a friend's recommendation while travelling down to California this past Christmas. Check in was a breeze, on-site parking was very reasonable ($18). Front Desk staff were very helpful and gave lots of great advice on things to do in the neighborhood. Room was a bit dated, but king size bed was very comfortable. TV...

Thank you for staying with us over the holidays. It's always a pleasure to welcome families to the hotel! Portland is a convenient destination on the I-5 corridor and a fun city to add to your travels. So happy to hear you found the bed to be comfortable. We explored many options before choosing these particular mattresses, sheets, etc. We...

I think the condition of a room and its furniture says a lot about the hotel; while the Mark Spencer had a lot going for it, including the amenities (wine and cheese during Happy Hour) and the super location, I would have liked to have seen furniture in better condition and for there to have been less of a tired,...

I highly recommend staying at the Mark Spencer. It will certainly be the only place I will stay at in Portland. This charming hotel is under renovation; however even the pre-renovation rooms (where I stayed) are clean, comfortable, and a pleasure to come home to. Even more applaudable is the friendly staff who always greeted me with a smile and...

We were astonished at the beautiful, newly renovated studio we had--it was tastefully decorated, had a wonderfully comfy bed, modern kitchen appliances, and a clean/modern bath. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Breakfast was a must for me, and with the great coffee selections it made for a good start of the...

Just returned from our first visit as a family to Portland. The Mark Spencer is in a great location to access everything the city has to offer We stayed in a junior suite which gave us just the right amount of space. The kitchenette was very useful. The wine tasting and continental breakfasts were much welcomed. We will definitely return.

We reserved this hotel via Trivago/Expedia; landing what we considered to be a good deal for our 5-day getaway to Portland. We were not disappointed; rather we found just about everything about this hotel to be excellent (bed/mattresses let them down a little!). Seldom have we found a hotel that was more welcoming and professionally friendly towards their guests. From...
