First time to Portland and wanted to stay at a decent place. This hotel could use a facelift upgrade, but in true Marriott style you will be comfortable here. Pros - Free Wifi because of membership - Fitness center although I didn't use it - Across the street from waterfront. I went for a 5 km run across the bridges....

Good experience. Room updated, quiet refrigerator provided on request, coffee and restaurant. Balcony partial view of water from handicapped room was great. Plenty of elevators. Very kind and helpful staff. Has a Thai food truck across the street with $2 Thai Iced Tea - yummy.

I travel for business frequently and was dissappointed in the accomodations at this Marriott. The room was clean, however there was no desk (only a small moveable table), no fridge or mini-bar (although you can request a fridge), no complimentary bottled water ($4 for the bottle in the room). These are amenities I have come to expect from a business...

It's easy to find quirky hotels in Portland, but sometimes that's not what you're after. Sometimes you just want something you know you can count on, and that's how I feel about this Marriott. Yes, it's a 10-minute walk to "main" Portland, 15-20 to the Pearl, but I don't mind at all. The view of the river, the quality of...

I'd read other reviews of this facility that indicated a bizarre smoked glass bathroom door that impedes privacy (true), shortage of towel racks or hooks in the bathroom (true), small room size (true), noisy rooms overlooking street (not true), and more. I really commend the food that came out of the kitchen for the conference breakfasts and lunches--stupendous!

My wife and I spent a four get-away at the Marriott Waterfront in Portland, October 7-11, 2015. We found the staff to be very friendly and very helpful; easily the best hotel staff we have encountered in years. Our room was on the 16th (top) floor and very quiet. The Truss restaurant for breakfast was another high point, especially the...

Marriott seems to have customer service and quality rooms down to a science. Was very pleased with my stay. Rooms were clean, the staff were friendly and very helpful. I recommend the Marriott Waterfront to anyone.

As our conference started at the Marriott, we found out that none of our booth components - product, literature, display, etc. - made it to Portland. Mackenzie from Catering shot off suggestions that, implemented just right, would still get us noticed. As the conference started, she enlisted Bonnie (of the Red Coats) who then cared for us like a nanny...

I was here for business and booked a city view room and all I was able to see was a parking lot I am an elite member and paid full price vs those staying for a conference at a discounted rate so I think they should have given me a nicer room with a better view just for that reason...
