I made the fatal mistake of not reading the reviews, if I had I would have definitely not booked. • The room was filthy, the floor and all surrounding surfaces had not been cleaned in some time. • The sheets were dirty with chunks of hair amongst the sheets. • The wifi did not work. • The television did not work. • broken sockets. • Safety latch on the door was broken. • There was no cleaning or changing of the towels done in the 4 days I was there, to get a change of towels took a day and I had to go looking for a staff member to make the exchange in the car park for a new set. • The staff were very unhelpful and rude. • The area the Motel was in was convenient for the concert hall but I felt unsafe with all the drug users and prostitutes around the motel. I would definitely not recommend this Motel 6, for a few Dollars more you will get a far better place. I would reconsider using any Motel 6 again.…
STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!! Very dirty rooms with used and dirty bed sheets and towels………… The bathroom was terrible ……… I think the public toilets is cleaner than the motel's toilet…….The area was very dangerous for you and your car!!!!!!!!!!! The staff wasn’t friendly……….
Stay was July 25th…was not allowed into office to register (5 pm)…nearly passed out in 100+ degree weather. Room filthy, bugs, cigarette burns in bedding, broken fixtures/damaged walls and intermittent wifi. No ice, no morning coffee service…this was the 5th stay in the 3rd Motel 6 in 9 days…the others were delightful. This was more expensive amid disgusting conditions. If I could have rated it less then one star I would have. Pay a little extra and stay somewhere decent.
Room 112 - How do you lose a reservation made 20 days prior - This motel did, even with evidence of reservation, the front desk refused to honor it - Front desk difficult to work with -Took 20 minutes talking back and forth with corporate customer service, for a room to be provided - Room smelt heavily of tobacco - lack of towels & face cloths - No power to bedside lights - No microwave or fridge as reserved - No place to hang your clothes - Good location / Bad management - No ice machine, no washer/dryer or vending machine - WIFI spotty -
We didn’t expect much. Just staying for a night to go to a concert down the street. So location? Sure, one star for that. Otherwise, would have given none. Pics say most of it. Literal graffiti on the lampshades. Blood stain on the comforter? Stains on the pillowcases. Exposed wiring. And a weed wackier/tree trimmer outside the window at 9 a.m. Seriously, don’t stay here. Yuck.
The man at counter was very helpful and friendly. Enjoyed the stay and the price. Very affordable and also close to everything you need which is a plus. The room was also extremely comfy and quite nice.
The man “ Robert “ at the front desk was so helpful in giving us directions and made our stay very comfortable. The rooms were quiet and clean and housekeeping were also on their game. Thank you Motel 6!
A place to stay for a very reasonable price. It is centrally located for public transportation, Max Light Rail, Cinema and Mall on a walking distance. Also walking distance to MODA Center and Portland Convention Center. There’s a lot of parking spaces for all guest.
Ok it’s a motel and IF it was half the price that we paid I might be giving it a more ‘understanding’ review. But it was expensive for what it was. In this place - standards are low. The handwritten signs in reception saying “no refunds” were a bit of a red flag but we had committed to the place so we had to stay. On entering the room we were immediately hit by a musty smell that could possibly have been stale smoke from previous guests. The bedspread had holes in it and had been patched up with what looked like band-aids. Towels were rough and cheap but they were replaced each day. The soap was cheap and nasty - bring your own if you do decide to stay here. Personally I loved the location of the Motel. I thought it was very handy for getting downtown to explore and the streetcar system is very useful for getting back to the airport for $2.50. It’s a shame that this place isn’t making the most of what it’s got. It would not cost that much to smarten the rooms up. Put a small wardrobe in, some new duvets and provide better bathroom facilities, stop people smoking in the rooms! The motel is very near the conference centres, so I imagine that they can be a bit uncaring as to what clients think because they will always probably get the overspill from people who can’t get into the other nicer hotels nearby. As for Portland itself - great city. Loved every minute of it but do yourself a favour and don’t bother with Motel 6.…
Was in town for an event at the convention center and spent 3 nights here. Reading the reviews, I came here expecting a horror show and it really wasn't anywhere near that bad. Maybe we just got lucky with our room, I don't know, but here's our experience. Pros: Location is excellent...the neighborhood is very walkable, with excellent public transit all nearby and plenty of food options, as well. Staff we encountered were efficient and reasonably friendly. Our room was pretty clean and fairly spacious, with comfy enough bed. Air conditioning worked pretty well. No frills, but provided basic needs. Decent price for what we got. Cons: Property is definitely showing its age... lots of little things like torn curtains, cigarette burns on the linens, broken lights, etc. Some minor irritants, like...we only got 1 large towel and 1 small towel and had to ask for more. No "Do not disturb" sign, so had to make our own. Wifi was spotty at best. The biggest issue was that our door lock had some issues, where the security latch would not close from inside (deadbolt worked fine), and door would not lock behind us from outside, unless we sort of lifted it up while closing it. Once we figured out that little trick, it was fine.…
