Thank you for reviewing your recent stay. Our apologies that our location wasn't more suitable to your travel needs. Our close proximity to I-5 usually provides easy access to downtown Portland in 15 minutes or less when not during heavy traffic times, I apologize this...More
Guest service staff at this hotel are extremely friendly and accommodating, Kaitlyn in particular. The rooms are clean and are equipped with your standard hotel room features; desk, flat screen tv, free WiFi(slow) coffee maker, blow dryer and iron. Rooms facing the highway are guaranteed...More
This hotel is not up to Marriott standards. It is noisy, particularly if you are in an even numbered room facing the freeway. Odd numbered rooms face the parking lot and seem to be quieter. The breakfast was fine. The biggest issue we had in...More

The yellow line (expo center) using max rail takes you into downtown Portland where you can transfer to other lines if needed. Convenient, inexpensive way to get around in a city with lots of traffic, especially during rush hour. I found getting to the actual Expo transit stop from the hotel to be a bit confusing (paved walking path, then cross a major freeway pass with a cross walk) but once you figure it out, it is fine. Better directions from the front desk would help. Check the Portland max rail line maps on line. You will see how the lines intersect and can check rates. Some kiosks take paper money/coins, others only take charge cards.

Thank you for enquiring about the Fairfield Inn and Suites North Harbour. The walking path to the light rail is very well lit in most areas. the first 100 yards of the path coming from the hotel doesn't have any lighting except for the hotel lights facing it.
Please let me know if there is anything else we can do for you.
