The Sentinel has been kept in beautiful shape. The room was modern and quite comfortable and the bar and restaurant were both superb. All but one of the desk staff were very helpful. This is a lovely, centrally located hotel.

Professional and helpful staff, spacious rooms. The room at the end of the hall was such a unique and fun experience, we had a great time watching the Olympics on a big TV. 4 stars instead of 5, due to elevator construction that woke us up in the morning (before 8am), it sounded like an earthquake. We chose the top...

Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review and provide feedback. I am sorry to hear that you were woken up by the work that is being done to our elevators. We have spoken with the folks working on our elevators to make sure that does not happen again early in the morning. We are also...

We stayed here for the night after our wedding, and the room was perfect. Quiet, clean, good view, and our family had dropped off a gift basket and decorations that were displayed perfectly in the room! Warm, welcoming, helpful staff- the stay was exactly what we needed ! We ate late night bar food that was yummy, and not too...

Great location, professional staff, clean, spacious rooms made for a great stay on our first trip to Portland. We had no hot water the first morning of our stay, and the General Manager quickly communicated the issue to us via phone and email. He let us know of resolution of the issue and credited us for that night's stay. Very...

This was our second time staying at the Sentinel. Perhaps it is because of the time of year (late summer, very busy), but our room was not clean. It was actually quite dirty! The floor had not been vacuumed, we found tiny black hairs in towels, and there was some sort of dusty scum along the bathroom door. Ick.

The Sentinel is as funky chic as it is warm and welcoming. A beautiful, historic building in a super convenient location with spacious, comfortable, quiet, beautifully designed rooms (we were on the 6th Floor with a skylight). Bethanie was kind and generous in getting us settled right away although we arrived early. Ryan went above and beyond to help us...

Got to stay at this hotel one night over vacation this summer and was very nice. We got a free upgrade with our room, which was beautiful. Portland is a beautiful city and it was our first time there and we loved it. Cant wait to make it back someday.
