I was booked here by my company. My first time in Portland as a solo woman traveller, I spent 4 nights in this hotel. Centrally located, extremely neat and clean rooms, good service, amazing bar downstairs, cosy rooms with handwritten welcome note, supermarket and food stalls right behind the hotel, friendly staff, basically I liked everything about this place. That is an extraordinary accolade. We love for all of our guests to feel comfortable at Sentinel, but “home away from home” is truly one of the greatest compliments. We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. Until next time, Bethanie Peterson Assistant Office Manager

Wonderful historic hotel with an amazing group of people running the show. Perfect location to experience the city and all it has to offer. I had the pleasure to deal with Bethany and was well taken care of.

The Sentinel is easily the best hotel in Portland with its personality and decor. The location is walkable to so much as well. We hit coffee shops, Blue Star and Voodoo Donuts, Saturday Market, and tons of shops. Staff was friendly and helpful. Everything was outstanding!

They've restored this luxury hotel and updated it with modern comforts and touches. Handsome and comfortable with a touch of whimsy. Great location, staff and decor! Highly recommend it and would definitely stay there again.

After spending over $800 on a City Terrace room (last minute booking - it usually goes for $466), so we could use the terrace - the gas didn't work for the fireplace. The room is nicely decorated and spacious, but the bathroom is small and dated with an old bathtub/shower combination - not what would be expected for one of...

I stayed at the Sentinel in July with my son for one night. It was all good! The front desk were most helpful and friendly. The rooms were super clean. The photos on the walls of famous musicians are fantastic. What I liked best about the Sentinel is it had all of the services of a luxury chain hotel, but...

Another great stay at the Sentinel. Old world charm, great service, well appointed rooms. Some pretty hip decor and a really great bar. Lots of nice touches. Central location means that you may get some city noise at night, but earplugs are thoughtfully provided. Super place to stay when visiting Portland.

Full disclosure, I work with a company that helped renovate this in the early 90's, and managed it post re-opening until it sold in the early 2000s. If you are just a casual tourist or local, please do yourself and take time to go inside and observe the murals. They are beyond magnificent, and tell a wonderful story about the...

Beautiful hotel and lobby connected to a nice bar and a Starbucks. Checked in to our room and found it to be very cool with a huge bathroom and awesome minibar (you get a minibar credit for every day you don't get your linens changed!) Some friends wanted to meet us at a local restaurant only to find out the...
