Location was perfect, parking cheap and awesome proprietors! Motel is old, but clean and comfortable. Excellent coffee shop for breakfast right across the street, lots of food carts right next door. Walking distance to downtown.

I was in Portland to see Newsies. This hotel was a five minute walk from the theater so it made it really convenient to see the show. I was back in my room 5 minutes after I left the theater and didn't have to deal with traffic. The rate was really reasonable and the room was spacious and clean. It...

Not only do you save money on the price of the room, but there are several food trucks directly across the street that serve delicious food and coffee for cheap. It's not a bad walk to anywhere downtown, but you can also hop on the MAX or call an Uber and get where you wanna go easily from the hotel....

I was in Portland for a conference. The venue hotel was offering a "discount" rate of $190/night. Wanting to save money for my client, I found the Econo Lodge -- for $110. The location is convenient to public transit, the room was immaculate, and the staff are supremely friendly, accommodating and helpful. The only drawback came in the form of...

Nothing fancy, but generally in good repair and just what we needed for a night before our conference in another hotel. The best thing about it is that it's next to a collection of good food trucks! It's also very easy to get to from the MAX train. The owner was quite friendly and helpful.

I was very pleased with staying at the Econo Lodge in downtown Portland even before arriving. Rita at the front desk was very helpful on the phone when I wanted to add another room to our online booking. We had also told her that we were arriving by Amtrak earlier than the official check-in time and she was able to...

We were at OHSU hospital until 8:30 P.M., not knowing if we were going to have to stay or not. When we got to leave we needed a close hotel, to sleep over, without driving too far in the dark and rain. We called and a polite young women made our reservation. When we got there, we found that she...

We arrived from Union Station at 10 am somewhat exhausted. They were gracious enough to provide us a room on the spot. The next day we were being picked up by friends at 1230. Again, they allowed us to stay in the room well past checkout. The room was no frills but comfortable; great for the price without question. The...
