Hotel is undergoing some renovations, but it's not bad. Friendly service. Shower water pressure was a little on the light side. Basic breakfast but it did have 2 types of waffles, there wasn't as much of a selection of beverages (teas, creamers, etc...) The gym is small and basic, and could use maybe a little more ventilation, like an extra fan, but it could also use some sanitizing wipes for the equipment and the hand sanitizer pump wasnt working.

Dear Jennettea, Thank you for taking the time to write this review about your recent stay with us. We appreciate all feedback whether positive or negative as it can help us improve and make future stays with us more pleasant. We will definitely look into maybe placing a fan in the fitness center and I think it's a great idea to add sanitizing wipes for the equipment. We hope in the future you'll chose to stay with us again. Maybe we'll be finished with our renovations by then and you can enjoy a fresh new hotel!

Stayed here for 2 nights with the family for a little get away. The wife made a special request at the time of booking and Candace at the front desk went out of her way to help us out. It was extremely nice of her.

This was our second time staying at this location and although the area of town may leave you questioning your stay do not let it stop you. The staff are all amazing and go above and beyond to make sure you have a wonderful stay. From the from desk to the maintenance team, they were ALL extremely friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be staying again!

I will start with the positive: comfortable bed, spacious room, great storage spaces.

But: the first room I was assigned had not been adequately cleaned. The bed was made (not sure if sheets had been changed due to rest of condition), but the counter had spilled something—wine or juice—plus small items apparently left by previous guest. They did find me another room.

I came back the next day after a long day out to find that the room hadn’t been made up. I was told at that point that’s policy, but I wasn’t told prior to that that you have to request to have your room serviced. I completely support not laundering linens daily, I would just like my room straightened, bed made—for me, that’s what makes a hotel stay a treat!

The biggest problem though was that there was a fire alarm—a legitimate need to vacate—and I didn’t hear it! What I finally heard was a muted buzzing sound, not a loud, pulsing alarm. It was coming from the hall. Nothing in my room. I actually thought it was an electrical problem and almost called down to suggest they address it or guests wouldn’t be able to sleep! When I realized that there was actually an alarm, people were already returning from outside. Some other guests said there was no alarm in their room either, some said there was. Guests also noted that staff seemed to have no idea about evacuation procedures. Other guests apparently pounded on doors to awaken friends, but staff didn’t. If anyone pounded on my door, it wasn’t sufficient to awaken me (and I’m not a heavy sleeper). This situation is very hazardous. If the fire had spread, I could have been in serious trouble!

In addition to the lack of safety and service, the taxes (expected) and “fees” (not expected and certainly not at this level!) added 50% to the quoted cost of the room.

The room was awesome. Updated and clean. The bathroom was clean and had a nice shower. Only complaint is trying to turn the water on without getting blasted by cold water. Towels were big. Not scratchy. Front desk was friendly. Due to Covid you heated up an egg sandwich in the room. It was good. Only reason not 5 stars is the location is sketchy. Certainly wouldn’t walk alone at night. Oh and maybe bring ear plugs. Our room faced the freeway. Otherwise great!

I had an early flight so proximity to the airport was good. The neighborhood was a bit interesting/questionable but not too bad. The hotel itself was clean and the room was comfortable. Because I had to leave so early, it would have been nice to have some food items to go. I'm guessing that a fair number of guests stay here for the airport - so I don't think I'm the only guest with this request.

We were in Portland for a night so decided to stay at Comfort Inn because of the great price. Friendly staff and plenty of parking...it is a good option. You can't necessarily walk to anything cool so I wouldn't recommend it if you don't have a car.

I visit Portland OR on a regular basis and have mostly stayed at the downtown hotels. But given the city's destiny to become a travel destination, prices have nearly doubled over two years ago. I was frustrated that there was not a room to be found under $150.00. I've never stayed in a Comfort Inn but decided to stay at this location based on the overall satisfaction and since I'm always out and about and just need a base to sleep and relax occasionally. This is a fairly new hotel, or at least aggressively remodeled. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful but most surprising was the room! It was spacious, quiet, attractively decorated and one of the comfiest beds I've slept in; even better than Marriott and W Hotel. Plus the fact for $85.00 plus tax, I had a king suite with fridge and microwave.
Although this looks "way out there" it is not! There is a Max line across the street and downtown is only 20 minutes away. Plus, if you're looking to explore, the newer growing areas are all out his way including the Alberta Arts District and North Portland (NOPO) which I've never explored.
It also saved having to park a car downtown which can be a hassle. This will be my new hotel of choice based on location, comfort and staff.

I reluctantly checked in to this hotel for a night about a month ago while visiting old friends. I grew up in N.E. Portland, and normally wouldn't pick a hotel on 82nd and Halsey. There aren't many hotel rooms available in Portland this summer, and the prices are obscenely high. At $150 per night, this hotel was a pleasant surprise. Direct TV with a bajillion channels, potpourri of different pillows so you can find one you like, free WiFi, free secure parking, reasonably updated rooms, free breakfast. Now, we are back again, this time with my wife, for two nights. She is fairly picky and somewhat spoiled by nice hotels, but has no complaints about this property. It isn't opulent, but just as good as a lot of the major name hotels. The staff is very friendly, too. You can be in downtown Portland or the airport in ten to fifteen minutes, so the location is handy.
