The staff were super helpful and kind. They let me leave my luggage in storage before and after my check in to help maximize my PDX experience, which added excursions like the Portland Japanese Gardens and a walk down the riverfront. Love the central location Hotel Lucia offers and their beautiful rooms. Definitely will be back!

The hotel was refreshingly chic and friendly. Matthew, the general manager was around all day and we had several great conversations with him. He explained the Kinnerly photo collection in the hotel, recommended sights to see and restaurants! He even assisted with my business photo shoot suggesting spots in the property and beyond. Above and beyond service and friendliness from all staff!

Everything about the one week stay was excellent. We were six people arriving by train and then bikes. Staff was friendly, rooms were clean, quiet and comfortable. Lots of space in the lobby to meet as a group especially to enjoy the craft beer happy hour. Easy walking to most places.

I choose the Lucia, due to its location and its quirkiness! Due to flight changes I had to change my arrival date, easy to do. Due to multiple flight delays, I had to change my arrival time, text communication was excellent! I took MAX from the airport, walked from Pioneer Square at 11:45 pm, felt safe. I was attending the Sweet 16-Elite 8, multiple MAX lines near the hotel, made travel to the MODA centre easy. It was a bit to far for me to walk, but doable. For breakfast, IL Solito is on the same block, Cheryls is a 5 block walk. I stayed in room 204, at the end of the hall on the 2nd floor. There is a freezer with ice at the end of the other hall. The room is on the Harvey Milk st side of the hotel. No road noise! The windows can open, which for me is a plus. Room temperature is easy to control. There is an easy chair and stool, which are very comfortable. The hotel staff is accommodating, very knowledgeable about the the surrounding area, lots of suggestions for things to do. As an early riser, I appreciated the morning coffee! I enjoyed the evening beverages. Overall it was a quiet, restful hotel, with an historic downtown location. Be careful of the wooden bed frame when exiting the bathroom!

Hi Ben, That's a great summary of what we try to provide for our guests! We're a small team. We'll never compete with the massive brand hotels but what we can provide is genuine customer service from team members who actually care about our guests. I hope that we're able to host you again. There's a lot to explore and do in our neighborhood and throughout the City of Roses.

Beautiful hotel, which was further enhanced by the hospitality and service from the staff. They were eager to help, provide local recommendations, and were sincerely apologetic about a mishap regarding the valet. Really appreciated the stay, and special thanks to Rachel, Chandler, Lloyd, Jessie, Maria, and Angie for working together to create a great experience

Once we arrived, we were informed that our room was upgraded from deluxe to premium! It was a nice welcoming surprise. Although the room was a premium king, it was still pretty small compared to a newer hotel. Lucia is a historical building so I understand their room size might be smaller than normal. That wasn’t a big deal for us. The room was perfect for two people. The bathroom was small as well. We did feel a bit cramped in it. The toilet is SUPER loud. It looks like one of those commercial toilets you see in a public restroom. Works perfectly fine, I just got worried others could hear when I use the bathroom in the middle of the night. Although I could not hear others, so I was probably safe. Bed was very comfortable, pillows were soft and fluffy, tv worked fine, nice espresso station, and an amazing radio with the jazz station playing right when we walked in! Despite the size of the room, I was interested in booking at the Lucia because of the decor. I love the artwork and the style of the hotel. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Shout out to Sisi for checking us in and providing exceptional service! Our room was missing a few amenities and when we asked for them they kindly sent them to our room. We had everything we needed and expected for our stay. Would recommend!

Despite the room being on the smaller side, I'm happy you enjoyed the bed and our room set up. We do have some amazing artwork in our lobby. Awesome to hear you are a fan!
