Overall was a great stay. Staff was very nice. Shuttle service was extremely helpful and our driver was fantastic. Breakfast started at 4am which was great for the early morning flight catchers. The pool, gym, hot tub and guest laundry room were all open 24 hours a day. Plus they had soap and dryer sheets available for guests, since who brings laundry soap on vacation with them?! Our room was very clean. Building itself is older. But you can tell that it was still clean. Had great wifi connection and 2 parking lots available. ( I don't think other reviewers noticed the other parking lot, as there really is plenty of parking) they have snacks down in the lobby and vending machines for soda on every floor. We could have even brought our dog Megan had we known they accept dogs! We will next time, since we for sure will be staying here again when we are in town. Perfect trip. Thanks everyone 😉

Checking in was easy and pleasant. Staff was very accommodating to special requests. The room was comfortable and superficially clean. If you look closely, there were areas it could have been cleaner. If you are a light sleeper, bring earplugs as you can hear planes overhead and occasional train whistles. They weren’t real loud and I slept right thru, but I am aware some people are more sensitive. The soaps were all cucumber smelling. I called the front desk to see if they had any unscented products as cucumber smells are very difficult for me to tolerate. They offered a bar of soap, but no shampoo, conditioner or skin lotion that was unscented. Breakfast was standard, no complaints. This is a great option near the airport for before or after a flight. They actually offer cold breakfast options from 4:00 am to 6:00 am if you have an early flight which is very thoughtful. Definitely recommend this as a nice option.

We always stay at this La Quinta Portland Airport hotel the night before flights. Warm cookies at the front desk, breakfast that starts at 4am and very inexpensive covered parking for a couple of weeks if you need it and free airport shuttle which is 5 mins from PDX. The rooms are comfortable with Keurig coffee makers. Definitely recommend!

We were passing through Portland and needed a place to stay. Would not recommend this hotel. I typically do not write reviews, but this place was dirty. The service was decent and friendly. The room, however, smelled awful, and was very small. Also, the A/C and heat did not work, even when adjusted on the thermostat. We tried adjusting the fan, mode, and temperature and the unit did not do anything. We ended up sleeping with the window open because it was super warm in the room. When I opened the window, there was black mold all over the track. Some sort of substance was on the shades and walls as well. Would 100% suggest you make the trek further to get a nicer hotel for your money and stay. We did not feel comfortable eating the included breakfast or using the shower due to the cleanliness.

Since this property allows Avery late check out for an added fee, they informed us that this was the reason our room wasn’t cleaned and ready by check in time. We didn’t have a place to get dressed for a wedding, so they let us use their meeting room and made sure no one came in while we got dressed. This was awkward and uncomfortable, but we appreciated them trying their best to accommodate us. The late check out feature caused the hotel to not have time to clean rooms between reservations, and several guests were told to come back later to check in. So they should not allow the very late check out feature at all in my opinion.

Room was clean, albeit a little dated. Mattress was excellent. Manager was very helpful in making sure I had the number to call for the shuttle to pick me up when I dropped off the rental car. More hand towels and washcloths would have been appreciated (bathroom only had one each).

I stayed here one night prior to a business meeting. The hotel and my room were clean, although the hotel is a little "beat up" - some water damage in bathroom, doors scratched up. My room was very cold upon check-in, and took about 2 hours to warm up to the upper 60s. The staff were friendly and brought me another blanket. Breakfast was meh - could use some fruit. A bonus is they start breakfast at 4am for those needing yo get to early flights. There is also a shuttle to tge airport.

Hot tub does not work. Pool isn’t heated and has a greenish color, afraid to enter Breakfast was a pleasant surprise Car being broken into was an unpleasant surprise Parking lot was described to us as safe and full of cameras from many angles and areas of the lot When asked for video, was told that they could not detect what happened or provide and video for me on what happened Asked to speak with a manager and was told no very rudely Hopefully a manager will see this and take the time to reach out to resolve some of these things Most staff very helpful, some were quite rude and flat out terrible When I took a survey, it asked would I recommend this hotel to friends or family, the truth of the matter is as of right now, absolutely no

This was our first visit to this La Quinta, which we chose because of its proximity to the airport, their competitive price, and especially the convenience of their 24-hr. shuttle. We were warmly greeted upon check-in, and felt like special guests. One person we interacted with turned out to be the manager, and she exhibited a very can-do attitude. Our room was clean, and the shower pressure was wonderful!!! Because of the nearby airport, they start offering breakfast at 4 AM which is great (we weren't able to take advantage of it due to our early flight). We rode the shuttle each way to/from the airport, and it was a good experience each time. One incident we experienced was a 10:45 PM phone call from the front desk, stating that our food order had arrived (we had gone to bed much earlier due to an early morning rise for our flight). I told them we hadn't ordered anything, but the order had OUR room number on it. A few minutes later there was a knock at the door, and it was the food delivery person. I insisted that we hadn't ordered anything, and he apologized and left. I don't see this as the hotel's fault, but we didn't get much sleep after that. Overall, we had a very good experience with this hotel, and would definitely stay here again.

Before I begin, let me preface this by saying that I have stayed several nights with your LaQuinta hotel chain and have generally liked my visits. This on the other hand, Was not one of them. I was in a room that was literally outside of the elevator. I did not get more than 1 hour of sleep as I was awakened several times through the night with the bed shaking. At first, I thought that I had just experienced an earthquake (yes, it was that bad). Then I realized that it was either due to the elevator or trucks rolling by on the nearby street. The room was probably the smallest room I have ever stayed in as well. So small in fact, that I did not have space enough to have my suitcase out and opened and not be in the way. The shower curtain half-moon style rod was sagging, and I felt that if I had lowered the curtain, (the end of the curtain was hanging across the tub and draped through the hand hold on the wall) that the rod and curtain would fall to the floor, and they would blame and charge me for breaking the rod or something. I did notice that this had happened before as there was evidence of repair on the walls where the rod is attached. Needless to say, I did not take a shower because of this. I originally had planned for two nights but checked out after one because I needed to be able to get sleep and a shower as I had a lot of work to do the next day and needed a hotel that would allow me to get sleep before my long drive home the next day. The breakfast definitely could use a makeover as well. The eggs were not real eggs and a processed round patty. The bacon was the thinnest and most flavorless that I've ever tasted. The waffles were good though. The staff was nice at check in and check out. And I did inform the lady at the checkout counter about the curtain rod and the fact that I did not take a shower because of it.

They give you a piece of paper you set on your dash to say your authorized to park there. I would say it should be fine to leave your car as long as you've stayed at least one night, but I'm the type to be safe and ask the front desk to make sure.
